Bauserman can throw some sick passes, but he has absolutely no mobility and no real experience. Only if Paterno would call it quits at Penn St. I know he's a legend, but I just don't know how many kids want to play for Joe Pa anymore.

Funny story as a kid.
In 1977or78 The highest ranked high school linebacker in the nation lived 3 house up from us. Randy Jostes. Warren Powers of Mizoo was at his house. & Joe Pa was at the bottom of the hill waiting for Warren to leave. Joe got out of his car & shook hands with all the kids that went down to see him. I was to young to even know who Joe Pa was. But I remember that day.
Randy Jostes ended up #99 for the Tigers. & playing in the USFL

Exactly. I'm not saying he isn't great, but Wisconsin's O line outweighed the D line from UNLV by an average of 50 LBS. He had all day to throw the ball. We will see how great he is when they play Nebraska. UNLV was the 109th overall defense last year in college football just for some perspective. I'm sure they improved, but not drastically.

The guys on ESPN attributed it to nerves, and I tend to agree based on the couple I saw... overthrowing open receivers early in the game. 10/13 for the night, but yeah, pretty much expected with that kind of protection & running game.

I think we will end the year higher than 18th. I expect around 2 losses. Our defense will be solid again, year in and year out we lose kids on D, but we still manage to be dominant on that side of the ball. Special teams will be better, our kicker and punter have had another year to progress. We lost 2 guards off of our line, but Marcus Hall most likely would have started (if not would have been in the rotation) if not ruled academically ineligible. We have a backfield which the majority of the country envies. Our only real question marks are at QB and WR. Our OL does lack depth which is also a concern.

I agree. They lost Tressel and some starters. So what, they always have a TON of talent just hanging out on the 3 deeps. They get their guys back by Nebraska when they need them. I will be shocked if Ohio State loses more than 3 games in the regular season. I think they probably lose 1-2 games actually.
