Friday afternoon - leave office for campsite at Lake Ericson, NE. Unpack, go on a 2 hour grouse/prarie chicken hunt with two wild-ass Brittany Spaniels. 1 bird
Saturday - up at 0600, drive 15 minutes to hunting ground. Rain/drizzle cold! Shoot a limit of birds, crawl back into cabin and dry out in front of the fire. Watch some cfb, grill steaks and grouse on wood fire. Excellent meal. Had 2 baked potatoes, wrapped in foil inside coals.
Drink of choice? Scotch-of course.
Day 3: up at 0615, hit the fields, limit out by 1245, packed up cabin and drove home. Had so much fun we actually forgot to listen to the abortion today.
You wish you were me. I'm 35, was able to walk up and down sand-hills in the rain for both days, well over fifteen miles.
Grouse are in the freezer, fireplace going and I don't give 2 shits about kc today after such a nice weekend...
