The Chiefs worked out free agent TE Ben Patrick Tuesday.
Patrick ended a brief retirement earlier this month. A competent blocker who also has 45 catches in 42 career games, Patrick could be a nice addition for the Chiefs if he can pass his physical. He has been injury prone since entering the league in 2007, however. Sep 27 - 11:02 PM

They're gonna need another TE with Becht hurting his hamstring. His name isn't Jake O'Connell so he's got that going for him.

Patrick is close to "Patriot" so he's a shoe-in.

i thought i remember reading he was going to miss some time to start the season, Crumpler that is. Could be wrong on that though.

Like most vet's he'll likely wait it out until a competitive team comes calling. Assuming he is doing ok financially.

LMAO

4yrs with the Cards. 2 with Haley.

I think it was on rotoworld or somewhere that said the Pats brought in O'Connell for a workout in their weekly try outs today.

Just take our best lineman on the practice squad and change his number to a TE....hell he doesn't have to be able to catch, Cassel can't hit anyone anyway.

Patrick could be a nice addition for the Chiefs I don't like the sound of that at all.

He has been injury prone since entering the league
Now we're getting somewhere...

Yep, lol. Run supermax protect for Casshole. Gaither next to Barry Richardson on a wing and Pope on the other. One back and 2 WR's. Narrows Casshole's options down to 3 and less confusing.

I remember liking him coming out of Delaware. And to be honest I haven't really thought about him since.

lol why do they keep fishing for RETIRED TEs sitting on their couches

is the "active" free agent TE list THAT bad that they are literally dipping in the street for one?
