I don't think I've ever seen a triple play like this before. I'm sure some of you have. Sorry if repost.

From last night...

Triple plays don't often happen this way, so that's why it's rarely seen.

Perfect storm here: ball hit right to the bag, easy throw to 2nd, with a average speed (at best) runner headed towards first.

The players went through the same motions and at the same speed as a double play -- no big whoop.

As I said, I'd just never seen one before. Then again, I don't watch a whole lot of baseball. I had no idea this was so common.

Triple plays aren't common, just that particular type, 5-4-3 is probably the most common. Still cool to see them though.
