Dexter Needs a good home.

Hey all. My mom's living situation is changing here in a few weeks, and she needs to find a home for her black lab, Dexter. There are no papers, but he has has his shots, and his umm... equipment is intact. I believe he's 5 or 6 months old. Awesome, loveable dog.

She lives around Barry and I-29 in the northland. If anyone is interested, please shoot me a pm.

Guessing the pup isn't potty trained yet? If I wasn't living in an apt, I would love to have a dog, but having a dog in an apt is just a HUGE pain in the ass. A dog needs a home to live in....w/ a fenced in back yard of it's own to run around in.

Guessing the pup isn't potty trained yet? If I wasn't living in an apt, I would love to have a dog, but having a dog in an apt is just a HUGE pain in the ass. A dog needs a home to live in....w/ a fenced in back yard of it's own to run around in.I'm told he's 90% trained, but since he's still a bit of a puppy, he does have the occasional accident when he's playing and gets excited. She says as long as she pays attention and takes him out enough, he does great.

secI don't really know... he hasn't been much of one yet. Other than trips to the lake. He's a swimmer, I know that.

well, if he's a lab, he should do all right. i just wondered at that age, how he'd adjust to it. that's a pretty good time to take on a dog, though. imo, anyway.

secMy folks got a German shepherd but were unable to take him in until he was 8 months old. So far it's worked out fine. Dogs can adapt, especially smart breeds like GSDs and labs.

i'm on my 3rd lab. in most cases, as long as they have their nose, they've got it made. one i have now is 14...thinking of putting her down before winter sets in again.:(
