I agree the fans were freindly overall. I got a bit angry when some of them were chanting "SEC." But I guess the people of missouri belong with people from Arkansas and Mississippi.

I'm not so sure this was a total compliment.

Awww, did someone on tigerboard post this, acting like treating ISU fans well means there's no way a Mizzou fan has ever treated a visiting KU fan or anyone else poorly?

WTF would a Mizzou fan have any animosity towards Iowa State fans? Giving them a hard time would be beyond pathetic.... marginally worse than what I think Mizzou fans are capable of... :p

Heh, found it...

Wait, I'm confused. According to Cornhusker Fan...
Posted on: October 17, 2011 at 14:46:10 CT

every visiting fan that comes to Columbia and Faurot gets raped and/or assaulted, usually with medieval weaponry, with women and children made to wait until last to get theirs so they can watch the men get pummeled in front of them.

So... how can these positive reports out of Cyclone Fan from this past weekend POSSIBLY be true???

Columbia is a great time during football season.

TONS of hot young college ass......EVERYWHERE

And there's the occasional few hot cougar bars too if you're into that kinda thing (I am).

I miss CoMo. But I got into a lot of trouble and shinanigans while I was down there. Glad to be back in KC area.

Missouri Director of Athletics Mike Alden received this e-mail from Nebraska AD Tom Osborne:

Dear Mike,

I thought you would like to see the e-mail below. It written to me by Linda Greene, the wife of Charlie Greene, who is a former Nebraska student-athlete and an Olympic gold and bronze medalist as a sprinter. Charlie has had some severe health problems and has trouble getting around and apparently received extraordinary hospitality during the Missouri game.

Please share it with any of the fans or press that you think would be appropriate. I personally did not witness any unruly behavior at the game and thought that everyone did the best they could in very difficult weather circumstances.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Best wishes,
Tom

Dear Coach Osborne:

We just returned from our trip to Columbia to watch the Huskers play Missouri... however, this e-mail is not about the game, but rather to share with you our experience with the Missouri fans.

As you know, Charlie has had some serious health issues but he really wanted to go...I on the other hand had some serious reservations since everyone told me about the awful Missouri fans and the way they treat Nebraska fans...so I was concerned. Charlie does not move as quick as he once did, and often requires a lot of patience and/or accommodations just to participate in activities he once took for granted...so I was concerned...and of course the weather made me think it would be even worse for us...but Coach, that was not the case. Every Missouri fan, event staffer and student reached out to help us that I almost cried. Even one young lady insisted we stay put, while she literally ran in the pouring rain to get a shuttle that would take Charlie and me to our car in a far away parking lot...as we boarded the shuttle, she wished us a safe trip and said "Go Huskers." This was just one of more than a dozen folks who helped during a difficult evening...I don't know how the "Legend" of the awful and rude Missouri fan got started, but I sure would like to put it to rest...no one knew who Charlie was, nor that he set records once upon a time at a Missouri track meet, but rather he was just a Nebraska fan, there to cheer on his team in spite of some serious mobility issues. It became clear they were all there to help...please pass this along to your counterpart at Missouri...clearly they are doing a good job.

With best wishes

Linda and Charlie Greene (Class of 1967)

K-State played in front of 12,000 more people in Columbia last season than in any other game it played last year (17,000 more than it played in front of for it's 'Superbowl' against Texas at home), yet you keep trying to make some point about ticket sales in Columbia.

In multiple threads no less.

Now that's pretty pathetic.

You know what fucking kills me - just absolutely burns with the heat of 1,000 suns?

Listening to OK sports radio right now. I'm down here in Tulsa and they're talking about the game against K-State as possibly having national title implications.

Jesus tapdancing Christ. That team is fucking horrid. They can't move the football and once MU woke up and decided to actually put some effort into the game, MU started moving the ball whenever needed. Ugh...generating pressure with 4 down lineman the whole game - fuck you, Pinkel.

It kills me that the Tigers absolutely slept through that damn game because now I have no choice but to just take any smack I get from these fucking numbnuts, but that team just isn't worth a damn. There's no way it should be ranked and they'll be on their merry way to getting the holy shit kicked out of them soon enough.

And I can't wait to get out of Tulsa so I don't have to hear them speak in reverential tones over a team that has a quarterback that couldn't start for most major high school programs.

Not correct.

The seats in the North end zone are counted as part of the official capacity. There are around 4,000 seats.

Actual seated capacity is around 67,000.

Which is still 15,000 more than Grandpa Stadium...
