I'd say in that three year window, was certainly pissed away by bad FO and coaching, Chargers had the perfect mix of offense and defense before it clearly fell apart (LT going downhill, Gates lingering injuries, most of the defense leaving, etc).

But there was a good couple years where everyone was healthy and the Chargers no doubt had a team that could hang in the Super Bowl with anyone.
