On a scale with 0 being no threat, 10 meaning he's going to ass rape us, where does Rivers fall in your rankings specifically for Monday?

5. Never know with him these days.

so is a 10 threat meaning he will execute the threat?

or are we just evaluating the threat

cuz he is about a 8.5 to 9, not factoring in his banged up line

Bowser

The way he's playing this year, I'd say anywhere from a high 5 to a low 7.

Threat of him crying like a bitch at some point during the game? 36

He'll do some good things with a lot of crying. But if the Chargers are going to win this game, it's going to be by his arm. There are no other options

He doesn't scare me this week. 4. About the same as I'd be worried going against Romo.

CaliforniaChief

I'd put him at a 7. He's struggling, but he's also still really good and we've seen how he can lead them to points so quickly. The loss of Dielman and possibly McNeill might downgrade that to a 4 or 5 though.

He wasn't much of a threat last time.

If they can pressure him and get in his face, then not much of a threat at all.

I'm very, very worried he's going to stitch a clownsuit on one of our defensive backs.

He's a threat b/c of Gates and Jackson. Don't get me wrong, he's a good QB, but his receivers scare me more than he does. It's easy to rile Rivers up to the point his where play suffers badly. A good rush and crowd noise will do it every time.

Gates is playing right? I'll say 8. Top 5 QB with a great TE going against a team who can't defend a TE.

Mathews and Tolbert down the Chiefs throat.:eek:Tolbert's a bit gimpy, and Matthews has yet to burn the Chiefs in any form.

Gates and Jackson are both healthy. It's going to be all Rivers or nothing.

I voted a 7. I feel good about our corners against their receivers. It's Gates that worries me.

I'll bet you the Chargers don't crack 100 yards rushing on us. Rivers may suck dick or he might put up 400, but I'm willing to bet the Chargers will either ignore the run or suck at it.

I think the key is to get to Rivers early. Get that bitch pissed off and whining early on and maybe even jump off to a 10-0 or 14-0 lead somehow, and the game is as good as ours.

Don Banks has a great shout out for Phyllis Rivers!

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/don_banks/10/27/all.underachieving.team/index.html?eref=sihp&sct=hp_t12_a1

The 2011 All-Underachieving Team from season's first half

• Quarterback -- Philip Rivers, San Diego: There's far too much competition around the league for this spot -- Sam Bradford, Matt Ryan, Michael Vick, Josh Freeman and Kevin Kolb come quickly to mind -- but Rivers has earned it. Rivers' sixth season as a starter has been by far his worst, with seven touchdown passes and nine interceptions, equaling his season total of picks from 2009 and putting him on a pace to obliterate his career-high (15) in interceptions with 24. Rivers has had just one game in which he threw more TDs than INTs, and his 82.3 passer rating ranks 20th in the league, after three consecutive seasons of 100-plus ratings.

Rivers says he's healthy, but league sources I talked to say his arm strength looks diminished, and he has uncharacteristically struggled throwing from a muddy pocket, when the pass rush starts bearing down on him. That has always been a strength of Rivers' game in the past, but according to profootballfocus.com, Rivers from a less-than-clean pocket has only a 40.8 completion percentage and a 44.0 passer rating this season. His two fourth-quarter interceptions against the Jets last Sunday were game-killers that saddled San Diego with its second loss this season.

If Matthews/Tolbert have a really dreadful game I'll just use their statline

For the last 4 years I would say a 9. For some reason Rivers doesn't scare the hell out of me anymore. He is still a great QB and I would take him in less than a heart beat but something has changed slightly IMO. I am not sure what it is. I am sure that the Chiefs secondary being better has helped but even against other teams he doesn't seem completely on.

I'll leave forever before that shit happens.

I took 7, due to Hali being capable of blind-siding him. Gates is a beast. Rivers is a master of the over-under patterns, and could shred us without any pressure on him.

Philip Rivers is an average QB only because he's a head case. Smack him around a few times and he turns into a bad QB. I have a good feeling that our D owns him on Monday night.

Rivers' back is somewhat against the wall now with all of this media attention of sucking. This will be a huge game for the Chargers on national TV... I think he will play well unfortunately for us. =(

6. Something is wrong with him this year don't know what. But being at Arrowhead and Monday night I expect the Chief's defense to be a brick wall.

And maybe Cassel not suck for once...
