I was standing on the sideline at the 50 yard line during my tour at Arrowhead Saturday. They had a mini studio set up in the tunnel leading from the field to the locker room, and we had to wait until Len was finished recording his part before we could go down. He must have said that last line 30 different ways before they wrapped. Then whenever we got to go through, I got to shake his hand!

Here's a picture from the other side of where they filmed. The had the black curtains set up in the tunnel itself, which probably help with the cool lighting effect. One of the two gentlemen you see walking down the ramp in the distance is him.

The picture is pretty sucky. Couldn't find my camera in my duffel bag before going in for the tour, so I had to use my phone.

Thanks Clay. Power has been out for past 4 days here in the Northeast and had to watch game at a friends house. Wasn't able to tape it and watch it 10 times like I normally would have.

Pretty cool...especially compared to the huge disappointment from the lack of pomp and circumstance before the game started at the stadium.

Just because it would be hard to match last year doesn't mean you should just skip it and do the same crap they throw out for the first preseason game.

It doesn't get better than Len Dawson. Heard him on the radio Monday talking football like nobody else can. He truly is a fountain of football wisdom. And his stories often reveal his innate understanding of human psychology and his ability to motivate/manage players when he played in the NFL. He would have been a great coach IMHO.
