And not because Palko is the second coming...or because Stanzi will come in after B-Rich allows Palko to go splat on the ground. And not because Haley's beard has powers under the lights on Monday nights.

We will be competitive because Romeo Crennell does one thing very well. Somehow, he has the right voodoo to give fits to great QB's. We've seen it time and again the last two years. Of course, Romeo can't seem to game plan against the Tim Tebow's and Matt Moore's of the world. Why can't we have coach-specialists like we have 3rd down specialists? We could just take Romeo off the shelf for games against the elite QB's. :banghead:

Of course, we don't have an offense...so we have a near-zero chance of a win...but we'll probably be maddeningly competitive from the defensive side of things. :banghead:

Actually I take that back, Haley and everyone else will coach and play their hearts out but without cassel there as their leader it will be extremely tough.

In terms of offensive scheme, I'm expecting a repeat of the Bronco game at Denver in '06 when Huard started for the first time.

Don't remember it.

But if it was anything like Croyle last season vs SD then we are in agreement.

This is what Im expecting:

Chiefs 1st drive punt
2nd drive punt
3rd drive int pick 6
4th drive punt
5th drive fumble
6th drive punt
7th drive FG

*The offense will be really conservative as usual. They'll have a lot of 3 and outs. They're going to have a tough time getting organized on offense as usual. The playcalling will be too predictable as usual. I Expect a lot swing passes out in the flats to either McCluster or Battle. Im expecting runs from both Battle and Jones up the middle. We will probably see a few runs from McCluster up the middle as well.

We are going to see some drives where the Chiefs look like they have the potential to move the ball, except it will be negated either by a third down drop by Baldin, Bowe or Breaston or a penalty or a sack.

When Palko drops back, I expect him to run for his life since Richardson and Albert can't pass protect well. This is the Chiefs offense in a nutshell. No rhythm, very dysfunctional, very disorganized, lack of execution. Same sh*t. Different day. Yawn. Another day of boring Chiefs offense. doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. Its just insane. they (Haley & Muir are insane) And they're failing to make adjustments. It's why they should be gone.

I see a lobsided game. I think NE wins 35-3. Chiefs will probably score their points in garbage time. And it will be another depressing moment for a Chiefs fan.

Who exactly, besides Manning last year? ...and Rivers, who currently leads the league in INTs.

If the offense can't do enough to keep Brady off the field, and the defense can't pressure him, Welker and both TEs will be running wild.

The least Cassel could do is make the trip and buy Welker and his family dinner at a nice area restaurant.

I don't know how bad the Chiefs offense is, but I dont' think most of you guys know how bad the Pats defense is. I hope and pray that last Sunday against the Jets was the turning point, but most likely it was just an anomaly.

What happens when the unmoving object meets the highly resistable force?

Dayze
11-15-2011, 02:50 PM
I think the Pats offense will render our offense ineffective because once they go up 17pts on our D, our offense is hosed.

our D has proven they can't generate pressure; can't get there when we blitz.

This is really funny.

I just visited that chiefs.com site place and, down at the bottom of the page, it shows a bunch of people who "like" the Chiefs ... I guess they are facebook people. Anyhow, there are 545,000 "likes" and on the page I just saw, I recognized 3 people that I know.

What are the odds of that?

I like our chances against New England.

I believe our D will give Brady a hard time. Romeo has given Manning and Brady trouble when coaching against them. The only issue he had was that his offense would let him down.

It would be interesting to see how he coaches against NE's TEs and Welker.

Competitive for biggest lopsided loss in MNF history?

Lest we forget the New England ties to KC let's do a little history recap.

Sept 2008 Chiefs Pollard ends Brady's season in week 1 and now the "genious" that is Pioli resides in the GM office at One Arrowhead Drive.

In other words even though some of the cast is different I believe Belicheck and Brady circled this game at the beginning of the season as it's payback time bitches, get ready, because we are going to embarras your ass in front of a National audience.

As a KC fan I don't even want to think about how ugly this game has the potential of being.

I think its funny that the Chiefs lost 4 of their very top players and they are going into this game, 1 game out of first place with Palko starting. Wasn't it just a few months ago during the contract settlement that one of the new spending rules by the owners was that teams couldn't sit on cap space money and specifically called out the Chiefs on it? Then it goes around here about how much cap space Clark's sitting on AGAIN this year? Key players went down and no press that even an attempt was made to sign anyone? Think Clark really cares about winning? If they truely don't want to play Stanzi and he's that bad, shit bring Farve in and at least lets have some fun the second half of the season.

I think the Patriots game will be closer than everyone thinks and Palko will play reasonably well. Patriots pass defense is terrible and there is basically no scouting report on Palko.

The Chiefs lose 31-21... somewhere in that vicinity, Palko throws a few TD passes, everyone gets excited then Pittsburgh flattens the Chiefs next week.

Think Clark really cares about winning? If they truely don't want to play Stanzi and he's that bad, shit bring Farve in and at least lets have some fun the second half of the season.

I think it'll be more competitive than folks think. In the 1st half anyways. It's MNF and Pioli doesn't want to get embarrassed. He'll tell Haley to air it out. 17-14 at halftime. 41-24 EOG.

I think its funny that the Chiefs lost 4 of their very top players and they are going into this game, .

it's just because the AFC West has become the worst division in Football.

7 wins could win it.

According to Jaws, man to man is Brady's kryptonite. Pissy might actually be able to cover Ocho

As if man-to-man wasn't tried in Brady's first 10 years.

I do think man defense is the best against the Patriots BECAUSE our WRs (other than Welker) can't get open against it. They're smart enough to destroy most zones by finding the holes, but let's face it, the Pats WRs are a bunch of smurfs with little/no vertical speed to speak of.

Aaron Hernandez being dinged up (as usual) isn't helping. This is a bit of a repeat of what Belichick said in Life of a Football Coach in 2009. "If you take away Moss and Welker, we can't do anything. We can't run the ball, and we can't pass it to anybody else."

Substitute Gronk for Moss, and I think we're in about the same position. That's why we need Ocho to figure it out -- quick -- though I don't think he has any real speed left either.

Could definitely see this happening. DEFINITELY!

I'll be drunk. Telling myself that I don't care. Telling myself to expect a loss. Telling myself we will have another really good low draft pick in 2012. Then Palko will throw a 10 yarder to Bowe who will scamper for another 15 yards, and I'll put my drink down and lean forward towards the TV. Then the next play, Battle will get 4 yards up the middle, and I'll nod looking intently at the screen. Then the next play, Palko finds McCluster in the flat who scamper for another 12 yards, and I clap my hands intensely and say out loud "That's what I'm talkin' about fellas...Comeon!!" Then the drive ends and we kick a field goal, and I think "we can win this. We CAN win this! COME ON CHIEFS!". Then I pour another drink.

...3 hours later after the Chiefs are totally destroyed I'll be in my garage angrily smoking a cigarette and swearing incoherently at the TV listening to Jaws and Chucky slob all over Brady's knob.

...then I'll do it all over again the next week. I love my Chiefs, even if they hate me.

That was pretty much how I was looking at it.

When you say "competitive" you mean we put on uniforms, line up for the National Anthem, then go out for the coin toss, right?

I don't see much "competition" after all that happens....

Gronkowski & Hernandez will have career days, none of these safeties have a hope in hell of negating them.

Throw in Palko for his first start & something ugly this way comes i fear.

Hope its not a blowout.
