I've never plunged into the tablet game. Here's a question: how moddable is this software? Could I easily upgrade it to a newer version of Android? Additionally, is the memory expandable?

Hamas, I really dont know much about tablets. All i know is I was going to get my 2nd grader a kindle for $50 on black friday (no color, no apps + commercial sponsers while she wasnt reading) and its usually $80...

And I got this instead... color, wifi for $60... I just want her to read and she likes to play on my ipad... and i just got her mom the Kindle fire for her bday.. so anyways, this is a cheap alternative...

Yeah, I just wanted to know if it could be a suitable browser, or if it would get overwhelmed. Most tablets I see have 1GB of RAM, 256 MB worries me. If the tablets had easily moddable memory, I'd be fine with taking the plunge, but if not, I wonder about its usefulness as a browser.

Not bad if you just want an internet machine. But don't expect it to rival the power and versatility of tablets in the $300-500 range.

Here are reviews in case anyone's curious.

Yeah I'm not a fan of these simply because they run the phone operating system of Android rather than a tablet version like honeycomb. Still at that price they can be a nice gift or something for the kids.

As expected, a bit too good to be true, but thanks for passing it along. Nice gift idea.

Where is it for $60? I added it to the cart & can't get rid of the $89.99 price.
