I thought it was interesting. If you do too, we are kindred spirits. If not, we have nothing more to say in this thread.

Excellent point.

Can you post them here? I'm too lazy to click the link.

Are there are a few that stand out to you?

5, 6, 7, 10, 13, 14, 26, 28, 29, 32, 40, 41, 43, 65, 70, 71, and 73 really stand out to me. I discounted some of the more famous ones due to familiarity, most likely. (These are the image numbers in the lower right, not the numbers in the link, which are lower by one.)

Number 65 is one that I'd put up on my wall. Tell me this isn't a cool photo, I dare you.

I completely agree. I had never seen that.

Yeah, both Zach and I picked the drive-in movie picture. That one's awesome.

I really like number 47 with Sophia Loren in 1966.

The Kiss

RFK (the dead one, not the running one).

All the combat photos.

All the middle-aged guys leering at the girl.

I also liked all of the combat photos. I would also pick the Charlton Heston one, I liked the kids at the puppet show and really the Goebbels photo after reading the line about him finding out the photographer was Jewish!

Yeah, that Goebbels one was particularly interesting. Those Nazis were either really good at looking evil or we never see the photos of them screaming with delight on carnival rides.

What about the Olympic athlete? That one and the Audrey Hepburn one where she's wearing only a shirt were saliva-inducing. I also liked the train car picture with Kim Novak that donger mentioned.

But then again, I think it's not hard to take a great photo of a beautiful woman, so that's why they didn't make my list of favorites.

I'm actually surprised they didn't include this one:

What am I looking at right there?

Rain Man

Is that Jesus and his parents?

And by the way, how are y'all imbedding the photos? I'm missing something.

Parents gripping their son who is dying of AIDS. I think he passed a few hours after the photo.

Ah. Is it that "Link To" button on the upper right?

Oh, yeah. Got it. Hello, Audrey.

You have to give Jackie Battle a hand job.

But it is worth it.

Very nice. The one of the japanese soldier's head spiked onto the tank at guadalcanal shows how ugly war can be.

That would be a great museum exhibit.

I don't know why I have this hunch, but I bet that Goering's favorite ride was the Tilt-A-Whirl.

That one really made me do a double-take. I'd never seen it before.

I liked the James Dean one, too.

While it's not the most shocking, my favorite war picture was the grizzled WWII soldier near the very end. He looks the quintessential WWII military man that you'd want on your side.
