Lab at Hershey Medical Center identifies a virus that could kill cancer (http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2011/11/lab_at_hershey_medical_center.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter)

Apologies in advance if it's a repost but could be pretty big story non the less.

There was this chick that worked in one of the National Labs (CDC, maybe?) discovered a virus that attacked and killed rogue cancer cells many years ago. She took it to the pharmas who immediately quashed the research. I wrote about it on here at the time.

It will be interesting to see how far this goes.

There is a crap-load of money in cancer "treatment" ... not so much in cancer "cures".

Hog semen cures cancer but most people elect to let fate take its course instead of taking treatment. Just doesn't make sense.

There are already many MANY cures for cancer; good for them coming up with another one.

That's why I always thought if a cure came it would probably be from a university, etc. rather than a drug company.

I think you thought right, Mr. Shaid.

If I find the time, I'll try to locate those articles and the research papers associated with her findings. At this moment, I can't even recall her name. I do, however, remember that she was employed at a National lab somewhere, published her research, took it to the feds (FDA, maybe?), who then got the pharmas involved and the entire thing died on the spot.

It's interesting that, at the time, none of the pharmas were interested in picking up the research. Nor, apparently, were the Feds.

This wasn't one of those Mexican Apricot Seed cures, either. It was a case where she discovered some type of virus (if I'm remembering correctly) that attacked the rogue cells and prohibited their ability to duplicate. If memory serves, it even fostered additional cancer-killing cells, as well. Very impressive findings. Yet, the entire line of research was kaboshed. One can only speculate as to why.

They just did this to reverse the negative press over that Sandusky thing.

Good news: It cures cancer

Bad news: It is applied anally. Best performed in a locker room shower, where there is plenty of room
