McNabb will cost $1.5M for a team that claims him. He had a $5.05M salary with Vikes. Playing for his hometown Bears would interest him

Not sure how this makes sense except on a money standpoint. He's not going to be the starter and has really no option to be a starter anywhere except maybe Chicago. The Vikings leave themselves with no backup should Ponder get hurt.

He was the Eagles for a number of years.

He was the face of a massively underachieving franchise. Nevermind their top 3 defense and horses like Duce Staley and Brian Westbrook. As an Eagles hater, I can easily excuse him chucking worm killers and his dinner in the Superbowl. But he's a passive-aggressive phony who preens for the national audience.

Inspite of his character he carried that team for a number of years. He had nobody to throw to most of his career and the one time he gets a WR he damn near wins a Superbowl.

Don't know why they would let him go now. He's a veteran so his yearly contract is guaranteed. Maybe if he gets claimed off waivers his yearly contract guarantee gets switched over.

still wouldn't think they would want to help the Bears

Not sure if the Cowboys come before the Bears on the waiver wire anymore.

Dallas won last week, and the Bears lost; they are both now 7-4.

The real question is why aren't the Colts trying to win by picking up any number of QB's that have been released.

Absolutely. I thought I remember Goodell saying if he thought a team was tanking there would be consequences. I would say they have made it apparent that is what they are doing. But I could be wrong.

Put down the pipe. He brought them to the NFC championship game four consecutive years and to the Super Bowl. He won 61% of his starts despite his poor record the last 2 years. That's not a scrub.

That would be nearly impossible to prove. You for sure could not prove it by not putting in waiver wire claims on what another team did not want. Unless a bunch of injuries came up to key players down the stretch that you couldn't see on film happened I don't know how you can say a team tanked it.

What's more amazing is how some of these Eagles guys just collapse when they leave there. It's amazing. Andy Reid is either really coaching these guys up, or has put something in the water that gives his players superpowers. At least until this year.
