I've said it before God never takes a sunday off.

This is like a movie where somehow someway Tebow takes the Donks to the superbowl with every game along the way ending by some miracle or miracles strung together.
On the stage right after the game Tebow grabs the Mic and yells do you all believe do you?!?!
Then the sky becomes a golden glow and an image appears... what happens next I'm unsure.

Now if Madonna falls off a stage somewhere practicing for the halftime show in the coming weeks we will truly know God is not only real but one hell(sorry god) of a football fan!

Bullshit! Name one time where the 94 Chargers team got lucky. Was it breaking up a play to save a touchdown in the 4th against the Steelers? Was it the fact that the Miami kicker missed a fied goal? Thoses examples pale in comparison when looking at Tebow's streak. He's required a comedy of failures by his opponents to win any of the games he's won thus far.
BTW - 7 of the '94 Chargers are dead before the age of 50. Lucky?

True... but that kinda stuff has been happening over & over again ever since Tebow took over. Eventually, one comes to expect it. Ashamed to admit that I did today. When Oakland was getting blown out I hit "record" & tuned in to the Denver game to see if our season could be salvaged. Just knew that yet another miracle was about to occur. There's some kinda something happening in Denver that defies logic. But it just keeps happening week after week. Its a puzzlement....

The 14-13 game against the Chiefs was one of the luckiest wins I've ever seen. Interceptions off of helmets, etc. Their Pythagorean W-L was 10-6. They pulled wins out of their ass in the playoffs that were completely ridiculous. If It wasn't for the Cardinals, they would have been the worst SB team of the last 20+ years. Interested to see how the Pats do next week. Tebow's heroics are usually possible because it's a 10-7 game; if the Patriots are "held" to 28, I don't know if Tebow can keep up. Then again, the Patriots' D can't stop a wet fart, so if any team can make Tebow look like a legitimate NFL QB it's this Pats squad...

Tebow just looked like an ass running the ball today. He got fitted for his clownsuit many times trying to lumber around the edge of the defense.

This is the reason why The Denver Broncos have gone to 6 Superbowl since The Chiefs have.

We haven't won a playoff game since 1993

We haven't won a Superbowl in 42 years

WHY because we never draft a Franchise quarterback.

We set an NFL record by LOSING 7 playoff games in 17 years.

WHY because we'd rather pay washed up player like joe mantana or career backs like Bono, Grbac and Cassel franchise QB money.

This team is run by IDIOTS.

and it wouldn't suprise me to see Denver get blown the F out next week.

I don't think it would surprise anyone. The Pats are pretty good. I had the Pats game marked down as a loss and haven't changed that opinion all season. We won four games last year. Four. We were four and twelve. I think a lot of you are forgetting that. Just the fact that we are in the lead in the division, and look like we are actually going to finish there, is incredible to me. And this crazy ride has to end sometime. The craziest thing is that a loss (even a massive blowout) to the Pats doesn't end it. We'd still be leading the division.

Uh....check this out...........

what a great guy Tebow is .

Following his media responsibilities, Tebow left to spend time with Zac Taylor, a nine-year-old with a life-threatening illness who was a guest at Sunday’s game through the Tim Tebow Foundation and Dreams Come True. The Bears flew home knowing that even winning the rest of their games won’t guarantee a playoff spot after becoming the latest foe to wilt during what is being called “Tebow Time.”

Urlacher & Peppers are butthurt:

“He’s a good running back,” said Chicago linebacker Brian Urlacher when asked his thoughts on Tebow after the game. Typically, Tebow was not bothered by the shot. “Coming from a really good player, that means a lot,” the unflappable Tebow said.

Added Chicago defensive end Julius Peppers: “It wasn’t anything special that he did.”

Instead they run it (a stretch play no less ???) and Barber runs out of bounds. Don't get me wrong. Barber should get 90% of the blame but why didn't they just take knees?

These games are killing me, more stress than my 3 kids can create on their best day. Total team effort and Barber allowed guys like Ernest Byner to point and laugh.

Next up, the Patriots and it is all on Denvers defense as they have to find cures for Gronk and Welker. Pats have an 'ok' defense, but Denver can have success on them.

It is all on the defense this week.

They couldn't take knees. There would have still been time remaining by the time they had to punt. Runs use more time and there's a chance for a first down.

Ok, I'm still not a Tebag believer. I'll give him props for being a gamer, but you cant go three and a half quarters against half way decent teams without any offensive output, and then expect to win consistently with fourth quarter comebacks. Did a bit of research and it looks like the donks have palyed 8 teams since Tebow became the starter. He has won seven of the eight. The combined wins of the teams he has started against and won is 38. That is a slightly under 5.5 wins per team average, AND, the donks had to win all of them in the last drive or overtime. By comparison, the chiefs last 8 teams have 59 combined wins for an average of 7.5 wins per team, just for some perspective.

Again, not bashing the guy, he is a gamer extraordinaire. I see him as I see Cassel last year however. Totally different kind of guy, but same circumstances. Last year the chiefs had a very easy schedule, caught some breaks like against buffalo (like the donks did yeaterday with Barber), and ended up winning the division with 10 wins. The donks will most likely win the division with 9 or 10 wins, get smoked in the playoffs, and then have the toughest schedule next year. Then we'll see the real effect Tebag has on the donks.
They are winning despite his play, not because of it. They'd be undefeated if they had Breeze or Brady with the D and breaks they have had.

Finally, look up next years schedule. Whoever wins the AFC west is gonna have a brutal row to hoe. NFC South, AFC North, plus the leaders of the rest of the AFC divisions? Yikes.

It's just nice to sit back and watch all the Broncos fans get excited each week they squeak out another 4th quarter win. I wish it weren't so damn painful to watch for 3 quarters, but in the last 2 games , we've seem him play very little read/option. Tebow has passed a lot and from the pocket. He's taking what the defenses are giving him and much like that TD to Thomas yesterday, once the defense sniffs that he will run - they all commit to him and he's able to hit a wide open WR.

I like the progression and maturation he is showing.

NE will be a hell of a test, but I'm sure everyone noticed that WAS put up 27 points and nearly 500 yards. The Patriots defense is good, but far from great. So, let's say that somehow Denver defeats NE.

95% of you guys will still say it can't last, they were lucky ... maybe true, but we'll see what happens. 8-5 was never a thought for me... it's nice to be here.

I think I'm done doubting the guy, but I'm really hoping to see less dramatics at the end... it would be great to have one in control prior to the 4th quarter for a change. We'll see what NE brings this week.

After that, it's @ Bills and vs Chiefs... I realize nobody will give them any credit for wins there and they should win both.

At some point, they're going to lose... it happens... they've got holes that can and will be exploited and there will be a time when there's not enough time on the clock to make the comeback.

I'm just enjoying this for what it is right now and in my eyes, he's earned the right (without question) to have the team built more in his favor around him for the long-term. My fear is finding the backup that can complement his style ... something that doesn't throw things into flux should we need that backup.

I don't care who gets the credit... in a short handful of games, Tebow has become the leader of that team - not just the offense, but that team. People follow a leader when they believe in the message, no matter how pretty or ugly the production may look.

They've rallied around him... they're all stepping up and making plays.

Will it last? Who knows. Denver can defeat the Patriots in Denver this next week... doesn't mean they will beat them. At some point, they're going to lose.. they could lose a couple.

This team is BY NO MEANS a finished product and once Broncos' fans get past the euphoria that has been the last 8 games, I'm hoping they're all mentally keeping a reality check on the situation. It's good right now, maybe even great - enjoy it, but keep your expectations realistic.

This team could possibly anything they set their mind to achieving, but the other teams have expectations as well ... they're players get paid.

Denver is very likely going to be in the playoffs and could very well HOST a wildcard game. Ride the wave, enjoy it right now... but don't be upset with a loss.

That's where I'm at right now... 8-8 was a high side/best case for me before week 1. The idea that this team could win 11 games, very likely 9 or 10 ... is incredible.

I didn't envision a playoff berth and they haven't locked one up yet, so enjoy the ride... enjoy football. Let's just see what happens.

I was mostly responding to the person who said they beat the Lions, and the person who agreed with that.... I don't think it's necessarily proof they can't beat a playoff contender, since it was only his 2nd start this season.

I like your attitude... unlike some of the things I've read here/FB/Twitter and heard from the experts, you're just enjoying the ride & not getting enamored by a bunch of wins over mediocre teams.

The Patriots are a great test... they give up a lot of yards, but are middle of the pack in points against. You know the Broncos can't struggle for 3 quarters and expect to win, and if the Broncos do rack up some points, you know Brady can match it. I think it'll be a reality check for a lot of fans, one way or the other... either "ok, the Tebows aren't as good as we thought" or "holy crap, they really are legit". I'm pretty confident it'll be the former, but if they do manage to win or keep it close to the end, I might have to start going back to church. ;) And it looks like between the Chiefs getting a noon game on Fox and the lack of AFCW games in the afternoon, KC should get the game.. so, I'll have to tune in and 'witness'.

Willis McGahee broke his hand against Miami, missed the game against Detroit, ran for 163 against Oakland, got hurt and left the game against KC and then was too hurt to be effective against the Jets...

I've been forced to temper my enthusiasm a bit since Elway retired... I've seen a few late season collapses happen when all they needed was 'that 1 win' to advance ... the 6-0 start under McD ... the crazy talented draft class being traded away...

I'd love to dive in head first on this one, but I'm not right now... and it's great. They've surpassed my expectations and for guys like Champ and Dawkins, I really hope they're able to do something amazing here.

I love watching the media try to spin this, while watching many of them slowly accept it for what it is... enjoy the moment. I liked how Deon put it, don't worry about what you think he or the team can't do... they keep doing it, so enjoy the moment. If you worry about what he or the team can't do, then you're missing out on what they are doing.

Again - they're not a finished product by any means, lots of holes and many things to fix and replace for next year... but, QB doesn't appear to be one of them. Get a younger pass catching RB, focus on finding that dynamic TE... bring up some youth in the secondary and let's see what happens.

And, it is fun to listen to people (fans, media, etc) curse the guy for what the team is achieving... he's not asking for all the focus. The team 'gets it' and right now, that's all that matters.

Tebow is basically saying a lot of the things you guys are saying about him, but ... none of it matters. The team has bought in, they're all in and they're winning. Bottom line.

Tebow for President?
Quarterbacking Our Country
By Matthew Dowd

Last night, watching Denver quarterback Tim Tebow’s post-game press appearance and President Obama’s interview on CBS’s 60 Minutes, I was struck by the fact that one man is offering his team (and the country actually) the leadership they need while the other is trapped in traditional discourse and scoring political points.

Tebow is not even close to the most physically talented quarterback in the NFL (and he probably isn’t even the most physically talented quarterback on his own team), but he has taken a team sitting in the cellar and lifted it up to playoff contention.

Do I buy into some intervention by God because Tebow is a man of incredible religious faith? No. I do believe there is a divine presence in every one of us and in every thing, and the power of that presence remains a mystery of the ages. It can’t be proven or disproven by an intellectual conversation or scientific method, but it is hard not to accept if you are a person of faith and connection to something outside our mere humanity. Yet that is not what this Denver rise and winning streak is about.

First, I would be very surprised if God is concerned about whether one NFL team is winning and whether one is losing. Even if God was concerned, I would hope he would have helped my hometown team — the Detroit Lions — who have had no success in the Super Bowl era.

Second, there are many players of faith on every team in the NFL, so I don’t think the Creator is picking and choosing which player or team or faith He likes more or less.

I do think this Tebow boomlet is about faith. And it’s about confidence. And leadership. And humility — a humbleness born of strength and conviction. It is about Tebow’s faith in his own teammates. It is about his faith and confidence in his own organization. It is about him acknowledging his own weaknesses and failings and mistakes and understanding that if his team looks good, then he looks good.

Obama, and so too the Republican candidates for president, can learn a lot from what is going on in the Mile High City. Our economy, and this country, are struggling with huge deficits of confidence and faith. We need a leader who can bring us together, exude confidence in us as a team, and lead us to where we need to go in the 21st century. A leader who is willing to admit mistakes and approach politics not by pointing fingers or scoring points but by helping us all be better people.

Take a look at Obama’s latest interview. It does not make you feel better about where we are heading. You don’t feel like we are going to win under his leadership. He points fingers and refuses to admit his own mistakes or weaknesses. I often wonder where is the Barack Obama of the 2007 and 2008 campaign. That Obama was much more like the leader we need at this time. He offered hope, he had soaring rhetoric, he offered a change from the bitter politics in Washington, and he made us feel we could win.

Tebow is the kind of leader for his football team that our country needs at this crucial moment in history. Yes, the Denver Broncos streak will probably end, and the odds are a team like the Green Bay Packers will win the Super Bowl. But no matter the outcome, Tebow has shown what faith, and confidence and humility can do for a team of limited skills that was losing consistently before. This is exactly what President Franklin Roosevelt and President Reagan understood about leadership.

This economy, and our country, do not need more programs out of Washington, D.C., or legislation from Congress, or tax cuts for the wealthy, or more spending on government stimulus. What citizens and businesses need is a leader who can raise us all up to a level we didn’t know we had in us, give us confidence in ourselves, give us a common goal to work toward, and make us believe in and have faith in ourselves again.

It seems this is a leadership lesson we keep having to learn over and over again through our country’s history. It is so easy to forget how successes were achieved along the way by Kennedy-style exhortations such as “we are going to the moon.” It is so easy to default into failing Washington-style, us-against-them, to try and get short-term political success.

But maybe a quarterback who seems as much boy as man can show us all, including the candidates for president, how to win and how to get our country back on track. And how to have a little fun along the way. Now that is a leader I would enthusiastically go in the huddle with.

Whaaa? Is that why there were like 5 qb's this year with 35+ TD tosses?

I can't help but cheer for the underdog that everyone doubts. I couldn't help but cheer for the guy! Sure, it felt dirty, but it beats cheering for a QB that rapes, kills dogs, beats their wife etc.
It was only a week ago he went back to Florida, to see a terminally sick little boy, because the boy was a fan, so he surprised him in the hospital. He is a good guy, and I can't help wishing him the best. I hope Elway trades him in the offseason for like a 7th rounder.

That's what bothers me so much. I like Tebow and all he stands for and I think the NFL needs more class acts such as him. But he plays for the Broncos and I despise the Broncos. He needs to go to another team outside the AFC West.

Sure, and teams will try even harder to stop the pass in the future, because that's what is successful. Denver will be the change-up pitch, based on Tebow's unique skill set. Denver will be the only team running that attack.

I've come to believe in Tim Praise God!, but not for what he does on a football field, which is still three parts Dr. Jekyll and two parts Mr. Hyde.

No, I've come to believe in Tim Praise God! for what he does off a football field, which is represent the best parts of us, the parts I want to be and so rarely am.

Who among us is this selfless?

Every week, Praise God! picks out someone who is suffering, or who is dying, or who is injured, flies them and their families to the Broncos game, rents them a car, puts them up in a nice hotel, buys them dinner (usually at a Dave and Buster's), gets them and their families pregame passes, visits with them just before kickoff (!), gets them 30-yard line tickets down low, visits with them after the game (sometimes for an hour), has them walk him to his car, and sends them off with a basket of gifts.

Home or road, win or lose, hero or goat.

Remember last week, when the world was pulling its hair out in the hour after Praise God! had stunned the Pittsburgh Steelers with an 80-yard OT touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas in the playoffs? And Twitter was exploding with 9,420 tweets about Praise God! per second? When an ESPN poll was naming him the most popular athlete in America?

Praise God! was spending that hour talking to 16-year-old Bailey Knaub about her 73 surgeries so far and what TV shows she likes.

"Here he'd just played the game of his life," recalls Bailey's mother, Kathy, of Loveland, Colo., "and the first thing he does after his press conference is come find Bailey and ask, 'Did you get anything to eat?' He acted like what he'd just done wasn't anything, like it was all about Bailey."

More than that, Praise God! kept corralling people into the room for Bailey to meet. Hey, Demaryius, come in here a minute. Hey, Mr. Elway. Hey, Coach Fox.

Even though sometimes-fatal Wegener's granulomatosis has left Bailey with only one lung, the attention took her breath away.

"It was the best day of my life," she emailed. "It was a bright star among very gloomy and difficult days. Tim Praise God! gave me the greatest gift I could ever imagine. He gave me the strength for the future. I know now that I can face any obstacle placed in front of me. Tim taught me to never give up because at the end of the day, today might seem bleak but it can't rain forever and tomorrow is a new day, with new promises."

I read that email to Praise God! and he was honestly floored.

"Why me? Why should I inspire her?" he said. "I just don't feel, I don't know, adequate. Really, hearing her story inspires me."

It's not just NFL defenses that get Praise God!ed. It's kids who will die soon. It's adults who can hardly stand. It's high school girls who don't know if they'll ever go to a prom.

For the game at Buffalo, it was Charlottesville, Va., blue-chip high school QB Jacob Rainey, who lost his leg after a freak tackle in a scrimmage. Praise God! threw three interceptions in that Buffalo game and the Broncos were crushed, 40-14.

"He walked in and took a big sigh and said, 'Well, that didn't go as planned,'" remembers Rainey. "Where I'm from, people wonder how sincere and genuine he is. But I think he's the most genuine person I've ever met."

There's not an ounce of artifice or phoniness or Hollywood in this kid Praise God! and I've looked everywhere for it.

Take 9-year-old Zac Taylor, a child who lives in constant pain. Immediately after Praise God! shocked the Chicago Bears with a 13-10 comeback win, Praise God! spent an hour with Zac and his family. At one point, Zac, who has 10 doctors, asked Praise God! if he has a secret prayer for hospital visits. Praise God! whispered it in his ear. And since Praise God! still needed to be checked out by the Broncos' team doctor, he took Zac in with him, but only after they'd whispered it together.

And it's not always kids. Tom Driscoll, a 55-year-old who is dying of brain cancer at a hospice in Denver, was Praise God!'s guest for the Cincinnati game. "The doctors took some of my brain," Driscoll says, "so my short-term memory is kind of shot. But that day I'll never forget. Tim is such a good man."

This whole thing makes no football sense, of course. Most NFL players hardly talk to teammates before a game, much less visit with the sick and dying.

Isn't that a huge distraction?

"Just the opposite," Praise God! says. "It's by far the best thing I do to get myself ready. Here you are, about to play a game that the world says is the most important thing in the world. Win and they praise you. Lose and they crush you. And here I have a chance to talk to the coolest, most courageous people. It puts it all into perspective. The game doesn't really matter. I mean, I'll give 100 percent of my heart to win it, but in the end, the thing I most want to do is not win championships or make a lot of money, it's to invest in people's lives, to make a difference."

So that's it. I've given up giving up on him. I'm a 100 percent believer. Not in his arm. Not in his skills. I believe in his heart, his there-will-definitely-be-a-pony-under-the-tree optimism, the way his love pours into people, right up to their eyeballs, until they believe they can master the hopeless comeback, too.

Remember the QB who lost his leg, Jacob Rainey? He got his prosthetic leg a few weeks ago and he wants to play high school football next season. Yes, tackle football. He'd be the first to do that on an above-the-knee amputation.

Hmmm. Wonder where he got that crazy idea?

"Tim told me to keep fighting, no matter what," Rainey says. "I am."
