I think my laptop battery just quit

My laptop quit awhile ago and the battery light started flashing. So I plugged it in, and still had nothing and the battery light was still flashing.

I take the battery out and plug it in, works fine.

Same deal with the docking station.

Can it be anything else?

3 years. I'm running windows 7 but whenever I put the battery in it shuts off and just flashes battery.

if you got 3 years, you did well. Buy a replacement off ebay, just make sure it's compatible, and compare the mAh, and # of cells.

Are batteries really that worthless? This is the first battery I've lost.

They pretty much make batteries with short lifespans now so you have to buy new ones.

hopefully it's not the battery/Motherboard connection that is screwed up.

You should not leave the battery charging 24/7 on a laptop... Take it out if you are running on A/C. also reduces the chance of a fire in your house when you are gone.
