So I'm thinking about installing windows 7 on my imac so that I can play Star Wars. If I do it, it will be through boot camp. But, my only real concern is will it cause my mac to break? I'm loving this mac and I do not want windows destroying it. Now I don't know why I've had such bad luck with PC's, but every PC I've ever owned started getting slow and sluggish after 6 months and completely broken after no more than 2 years.

I do not want this happening to my mac if I install windows on it. I'm not really sure if windows would even be the cause of all of my PC crashes. But I relate the 2. So, without starting a pointless mac vs PC war. Could installing windows potentially damage my mac? Thanks!

No, you should be fine. I've done it and have never had any issues.

Basically, Boot Camp will partition your hard drive, which means it just "segments" it to make it essentially two separate hard drives. Your Mac stuff will remain on one, and it will put Windows on the other as you go through the install. It keeps them completely separate.
