With the two conflicting reports surfacing in the last couple of hours, if you HAD to chose one scenerio...which one would it be?

Let's assume both Orton and Cassel would be the starter for at least 1 season...



A. Orton /Stanzi/ Cassel
Orton beats out Cassel in camp. Cassel and Stanzi compete for the backup role. Orton is the starter in 2012.

B. Cassel / draft QB / Stanzi
Orton is not resigned. Cassel regains the starter role. Chiefs draft potential QBotF...Luck and RG3 are not an option here. Cassel is the starter in 2012.

If Orton is not resigned it only means one thing: Cassel is the uncontested starter.

Having TWO Cassels on the team would be an absolute abOrton.

One will go down, and Pioli and company will say, "Oh, well that's fine. Look! We have another ready and willing veteran to take hold of the reins! This team's gonna be just fine!"

For this situation I will choose option A. Cassel and Orton would at least be good backups for one another? I wish we could see Stanzi play a little in the Broncos game this weekend.

I want RG3 to develop behind Orton. Or take over for Orton next season. Cassel is out in my best case scenario

Given what Andy Dalton has done this season, I don't think Kellen Moore should necessarily be out of the equation.

A) Start Cassel
B) Start Orton

Orton is a fine stopgap to have if you are developing a young QB behind him. Get your damn panties out of the bunch already.
