Anyone know anything about him?

Chiefs put RB Battle on IR, sign RB Draughn
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)—The Kansas City Chiefs put running back Jackie Battle on injured reserve and signed running back Shaun Draughn to the active roster before their season finale against Denver.

Battle was in a walking boot and did not practice this week after sustaining a foot injury in last Sunday’s overtime loss to Oakland, which eliminated Kansas City from playoff contention.

The Broncos can clinch the AFC West by beating the Chiefs on Sunday.

Battle had taken over as the primary running back after All-Pro Jamaal Charles went down with a season-ending knee injury in Week 2. Battle ran for 715 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Draughn was signed by Washington as an undrafted free agent and spent 13 weeks on the Kansas City practice squad. He’ll provide depth behind Thomas Jones, Dexter McCluster and Le’Ron McClain.

That's kind of how I looked at it.

I've been wondering if he may be a gem in the rough. We have added and removed players from our practice squad and he has stayed. I'm hoping we get to see him some tomorrow.

I think we'll be impressed if he gains more yards than Jones. Which....shouldn't be too hard.

I think I'll wait until after the game tomorrow to see if I've Draughn any conclusions on him.

Nevermind...a 4.73 40 yd dash time. He'll at least equal Thomas Jones speed.

He has only slightly more experience coming out of college than Matt Cassel. He started on UNCs defensive scout team and spent one year splitting carries with Ryan Houston. Not expecting the world out of this guy, though he should be fresh if he kept himself in shape.

40 yard dash times are overrated, you have to remember that anquan boldin ran a 4.7 and look how he's turned out. if he has the speed to get around the corner, or is good in his cuts, or knows how to make a defender miss than he's a keeper.

I dont know anything about this guy, i just dont think it is fair to judge him by his 40 time, give him a chance before you start knocking him.

Yeah anybody who spouts 40 times should think back to how Ashlie Lelie used espn to screw the broncos.

I think we talked about this guy in preseason.

I'm impressed with how many yards Battle got this year. He'll be a serviceable backup next year.
