You are truly TRULY an idiot. Spend your days here endlessly pimping "1st Round QB!! 1st Round QB!! Everything else sucks but 1st Round QB. Fuck it up? Try again."

Then the Rams, who actually did that, and Bradford looked to be the real deal last year, and has been hurt [along with most of the critical players around him] this year, and your response is, "they messed up the 1ST ROUND QB!!! gambit, run them out of town!!!"

Point at it, look at it.

How ever, no one would have gone more than 1-15 with the Rams in 2009. The team was blown up in the off season by cutting vets etc.

Devaney deserves more blame than Spags for this mess. Spags worked with what he had.

I'm not so sure about McDaniels. Was just watching the NFL Network talking about coaching vacancies, and coordinators. They spoke that Romeo had impressed management, will speak to others but Romeo has the inside edge on the job. Then, they were talking coordinators, and mentioned that O'Brien, OC for Patriots at the leader to go to Penn St. HC. If that were the case then McDaniels might go back to New England...and if Pioli wants him he'd better act or look at other options.

Not that, but this:

You have to have players around a franchise QB or you have to have players around your game manager...

Even the HOF QBs had talent around them.

Montana had Rice, Craig.
Manning has had Wayne, Harrison.
Brady has guys like Gronkowski, Hernandez, Welker, etc.

Rodgers has a shit load of talent around him.

Bradford only has a RB in Jackson.

Peterson would run the business side and basically over-see the football side. He really isn't that bad as the rap he gets on here, basically because its he was here too long. If Peterson would have left in 2000, his legacy in Kansas City would have been different. Lot of teams in the league are modeled after his business model including the Packers.

Funny, a plea for consistency from the guy whose cobbled opinion is;

"if you don't have a franchise QB you devote all draft resources to get the best prospect available. And if that doesn't work out. Do it again. But if it doesn't work out, the coaching staff and front office has to go. And the NEW coaching staff and front office needs to again devote all draft resources to getting the best prospect available, . . apparently knowing it cost the last regime their jobs and will likely cost them theirs as well."

Brilliant

All you know about Bradford is he's a member of the Rams and the Rams had a poor W-L record. You know nothing about how open receivers were, how sound Bradford's decision making process was, given the events that unfolded in front of him, or any number of other more incisive insights. A franchise QB can elevate the play of the team, but it can't will receivers open or will them to run correct routes. If you have evidence that Bradford was missing potential for offensive development or was making bad reads or was panicking in his decision making, present it. 'He's the QB of a bad team' is an utterly insufficient analysis.

For example, were you to pose the same challenge to me regarding Cassel, and I had access to the necessary footage, I'd have a set of 50 or so plays that Cassel utterly misread or panicked prematurely within the hour, just going off the top of my head.
