I did this before, but it's an interesting way to look at the roster.

the 2009 class should be core players by now...but even with Jackson's improved play, that class was a debacle...and Cassel is 'core' only in a perverse sense...

i think, at this point, Dorsey and Carr are core...both are rock solid

Asamoah and Houston will be next year, and Moeaki could be if he could stay healthy

Asamoah and Houston will be next year, and Moeaki could be if he could stay healthyFreaky shit? With more improvement on the defensive line, it's very possible we'll see all four linebackers move onto the "core" players list.

The fact that this group went from one of the weakest in 2009 to by far the strongest position on the team in just 3 years needs to be pondered. Three of those guys were on the team in 2009, too.

There's a coach somewhere that deserves credit for this. Gibbs, maybe?
