Which kids? The one's who don't know how to play basketball? Or the one's getting knocked to the ground?

The fat kid is a coward the other kids are pussies for standing there and allowing that to happen to themselves and their teammates. We were taught if someone did that to us to knock their block off.

Why did the creator of that video feel the need to show us a replay of the same foul four times before moving on?

And me thinks ol' fatty was told to play basketball during the football off-season to stay conditioned. Tis a shame no one on the red team stood up to him..

Yeah. We had a guy who played all three major sports. He played basketball his senior year to keep fit for baseball and to essentially be a tough, gritty basketball player who provided depth and rebounding.

We need to find a highlight reel of #34's offensive post moves. LMAO

Yeah.. The fifth was bad, but he was still going for the ball..

The rest I am fine with, it is literally a offensive lineman playing bball against small scrawny guys.. Of course they are going to go flying when you foul them..

And how much time was left in the game?? and score?? If it is winding down and the game is close nothing wrong with it.. It is a foul and it got called, five times..

Would have to see the whole game to get a better judgement..

edit.. I am not saying I agree with it all the time, but it is in basketball with not so good players.. So meh, I do not see the need to create a video about it unless you are a huge pussy parent..

Yea. I'm sure if you tried some of those "hard fouls" on the fat salvadorians or brothers in PG County MD high schools you wouldn't wake up in hospital clothes the next day...From what I'm seeing three of these fouls would have been flagrant and one would have been a straight ejection.

That fat fucker is just so stupid, and obviously hasn't had any coaching. You can tell that he really has no idea what he's doing on a basketball court. He's just a big dumb animal.

Several years ago, my friend's brother in law was playing with us on our team, at the end of the game we were trailing, and trying to give a foul. He had never played organized ball, and I guess didn't realize that all you have to do is grab the guy with the ball.. So he comes through and clocks this guy, very similar to what #34 was doing. I had to grab the guy on the other team and explain to him that he just didn't know any better.

There were plenty of flagrants in there. I can think of a handful of times when I thought it made sense to swat down at the ball. If I'm playing real defense that hand is either in his face or they're going straight up.

I'm assuming the red team are good actors because they could flop everytime white 34 takes a hack out of them.. Otherwise
a) refs should've tossed his ass after any combination of fouls 1-4 coming before a 5-6
b) red team should've thrown a bow at that dude's noggin.

Yup. Horribly coached team. Horrible, only because the guy stayed in there.

The kid probably fouled out of every game the way he swats at everything. Instead of taking a charge or blocking the lane, his instinct was to hold the guy going past him. Instead of boxing out, he waits for a guy to go up then stupidly tries to go for an over-the-back rebound.

And the kid doesn't jump for anything. It's not flagrant as much as it is just damn lazy.

This video is dumb. While I agree that fat kid is an idiot and a thug, I only count one truly flagrant foul "the hold". Everything else is called as a foul as it should be (and an argument could me made that they're borderline). But this video loses credibility in calling all of those flagrant.

Same here. The one where round boy knocks the kid down and stands over him he should’ve caught a foot straight to the taint so hard it’d lift him off the ground. If the refs eject you for it so fucking what, he’ll still be on the sidelines coughing up his balls.

#5 was Flagrant, #3 and 4 are iffy. 1 and 2 are just normal fouls.

I thought #4 (the push in the back) was the most worthy of being called flagrant. I'd make that call on #5 too just because of the number of hard fouls that were occurring and in order to send a message to the hard foulers, but probably not on any of the others.

You'd think it would be pretty easy to foul out #34. Just take your worst guard, have him drive the lane right at him five times. Problem solved, put an ice pack on the guard and let him heal for a week.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/highschool-prep-rally/video-flagrant-foul-no-calls-basketball-game-goes-133731387.html

Connell (Wash.) High's Cole Vanderbilt was a relative unknown in the basketball world, but all that changed two days ago, when a viral YouTube video turned him into one of the most hated players in Washington.

As the Tri-City Herald reported, Vanderbilt turned into public enemy number one when Michael Christenson decided to film a game between Connell and Highland (Wash.) High to prove to parents at Highland that the basketball league needed better officials.

As it turns out, the clip did more than just spotlight an officiating problem; it also made seniors Cole Vanderbilt and teammate Kennan VanHollebeke look like the dirtiest players on the court.

Someone apparently didn't appreciate the fouls -- the fifth foul is definitely of the flagrant variety -- because before anyone could blink, the video had gone viral, with one website proclaiming Vanderbilt to be "the dirtiest basketball player in America."

While Christenson certainly proved his point with the video, what he didn't expect was the outcry on YouTube from commenters who viewed the clip. The negative and sometimes hurtful responses to the fouls forced Vanderbilt's coaches and family to go into damage-control mode.

"[Cole Vanderbilt] a tough kid, but those that know him know he's a teddy bear," Connell coach Oscar Garza told the Tri-City Herald. "My 7-year-old son loves him and lights up when he's around. But on (YouTube) he's the world's meanest, ugliest kid. It's not fair, but I just want him to know his teammates and coaches are behind him."

Even though you could probably make a case that most of the fouls, while aggressive in nature, weren't of the flagrant variety, there's no doubting the fifth foul is definitely the kind of bushleague garbage that should get you kicked out of a game.

It's clear from the way Vanderbilt goes after the Highland player that he had no intention of going for the ball; he was merely trying to make sure the player never had a chance to make it to the hoop.
