Uh... No I don't think so. I think doing it draft-style would probably be cool for a small group of participants.
I think we'll have upwards of 50-75 active in this contest so you'll pull ahead by picking the unexpected death.

I also think I might give bonus points for dates. If you had Pat Summeral dying in July, and he actaully did croak in July, you got an extra 20 points, etc.

I am taking suggestions on how to do this, though.
If you have participated in one of these before, pointers are helpful.

Now then, there will be a limited amount of participants. Say, around 50 or so? I am also going to probably utilize a spread-sheet to keep track, (thanks for the idea). I would like some suggestions on score keeping. I have the basic ideas down on how to proceed.
Also, I would like an assistant to help track everything. Lumpy is my 1st choice since she's on here even more than me nowadays but some more help would be appreciated.

I was thinking about getting a 2012 Celebrity Death Pool going.
However, some people on here might find that in poor taste so I wanted to put out some feelers.

This is how it will work:

Everyone get's 10 celebrities that they think will end the year at room temp.

You get bonus points for younger celebs.
I'll come up with the official rules and regs.

At the end of the year, the winner will get a handsome reward from yours truly. (Likely a Chiefs Related item that I currently own)
There will be 2nd and 3rd place prizes as well.
If anyone would like to assist in this by either chipping in an award, helping me tally points or something, we can do that as well.

I am going to post a poll, if I have a good approval rating for this then we will move forward, (and if our glorious Mods approve).
If not, then we will await another BRC awards thread I guess.
