If McD was here only ONLY as a OC I'd be for the move, but I don't think that's the case. So I'm hoping NE gets him.

If Pats get permission to talk to McDaniels, then hire him, no rule would stop them from putting him on staff for playoffs, per the league.

So they would have both McDaniels and O'Brien?

If we were going to interview him as the HC we already would have.

Why doesn't anyone want him as the OC? Just because he has Patriot ties? Or because of what he did as a HC?

This can be a positive for us Chiefs fans.

Maybe McD didn't wanna come here because of Cassel. Win for us against Piolis ego

Pioli wasn't allowed to talk to him becasue Hunt said no. Win for us that Hunt is actually caring.

Because of the abortion known as the Rams offense?

Anyways, Bradford is now going to end up like Alex Smith.

That's an odd rule. They should allow it with players.

I think he's overrated as shit.

People gush over the productivity of the Broncos' offense. What I saw was a guy who was obsessive about winning games in the air behind a QB who wasn't franchise QB worthy. Their running game for much of the 2010 season featured a 50 yard rusher as their lead rusher, and nobody to blame but him--he's the guy who traded away Peyton Hillis. I have a feeling he's just a bad version of Mike Martz.

I had no problem with him before he was the HC for the Broncos. In hind sight he should've been the OC here instead of going to Denver, but who'd turn down a HC gig, right? After the cheating scandal and his version of trimming the fat of the Broncos roster and trading up for Tebow, I don't want anything to do with the guy.

No. If anything Cassel would be the reason McD comes here. McD loves Cassel.

Matt Cassel? He got a HC gig the off-season after Cassel started 15 games for NE.

I don't want McDouche mainly for the reason that means without doubt we get more Cassel.

I think the fact aht Cassel did do what he did that eyar helped McD.

Obviously we have seen that the Pats way is pretty fucked up and scammy in that it revolves around getting one of the best and most clutch qbs to ever play the game.

LMAO Trust me I'm right there with you. But here he won't have personnel decisions like he had in Denver. But it does make you wonder what kind of a ego that man has, if he drafted Tebow that early. He must think he is a QB God. That is what concerns me.

I initially thought that too.

Then I remember how good Daunte Culpepper looked when he had Randy Moss to throw to. It's a pretty nice system when your entire offense is built around: 1) throw it anywhere within a mile of Randy Moss; 2) if he's not open, Wes Welker is going to open on your checkdown. It's a QB's wet dream. Even wetter than Culpepper had.

one thing I can count on is the staff not having decision making duties under Pioli. I was hilarious watching Clark and Piolis' presser of Haley's firing. When the press asked about the allowance of RAC to make the decisions for the team, Pioli eye fucked him and was slow to finish the answer kinda hinting he should shut the fuck up. Was great. I also remember Tyson Jackson interview after a game and his lip was quivering like a fuckin chihuahua. Was he scared of questions? A scaredy DE. great.

Gotta remember tho, the Patriot way was built before either one of those guys got there.

Here's where I read it. RotoWorld.com

SI.com's Peter King reports the Rams have informed OC Josh McDaniels that he's free to sign with another team.

The Patriots and Chiefs have already requested permission to interview McDaniels, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Patriots have reportedly been preparing for OC Bill O'Brien's departure since his name first started surfacing in Penn State rumors weeks ago. McDaniels would be a logical successor, perhaps bringing free agent Brandon Lloyd along as a deep threat.
