The Chiefs are making a couple of staff changes on the offensive side of the ball (might be more coming as well) http://bit.ly/aMEurg

Richie came with Todd from Arizona so that's expected. Pat was haley's longtime friend apparently, so that's also expected.

George Perles, Pat's dad, was a defensive assistant with the Pittsburgh Steelers when Mr. Dick Haley was the personnel director. So the younger Perles and the younger Haley grew up together in Pittsburgh.

Bottom line, this is definitely a hiring from Haley's network but that's fine. Carl Peterson did the same thing but it became a detriment for him. As long as Haley continues his role as the boss of the team, even to his friend/assistants, we should be fine.

I know you bring in people you are comfy with, but the buddy buddy shit that Haley brought in didn't work.

Romeo, go get the best OC you can and let him bring in the best position coaches.

Just hard for me to believe that Crennel stated recently that the Chiefs were looking at OCs from playoff teams, and Muir nor the team has ever made a comment concerning his status as OC

I always found it a bit weird that a fullback was coaching our WRs. I don't mind at all that Anderson is no longer coaching with us.

I don't know why they aren't cleaning house on the offensive side and let the new guy and RAC decide then who they want.

You could look on NFLN or .com but LaConfora did say his sources told him that was suppose to happen (Muir's retirement). Not sure if he put it in print in a articel yet or not. Several people here posted that day they were watching when he reported it.

It's not that uncommon, especially in college.
