Imagine if Eli had played for the Bolts and Rivers played for the Giants like they were originally drafted...would things be different or the same?

They may have gotten ridden of him too early like they did Brees
Neither set the world on fire at first

I'd have to say Rivers has been the better QB on an inferior team.

Is Norval still the HC?

Why would you even start this thread?

Of course. Eli is a stud, the Chargers are fucking stupid. Just look at their decision making.

You gotta wonder how Rivers with his temper
would have survived the New York media

IMO, If Rivers had played for the 9ers today he would have won.

eh, maybe.

Gotta give Smith credit for last week though.

First round draft picks win playoff games. But no one can win them all

Oh wait......

Brees was a POS before the Chargers were forced to draft Manning with the first overall pick.

Would the Chiefs had played in the SB if Tynes had played for them?

Frazod - If Brees was a Chief before he pulled his head out of his ass you wouldn't be so glib.

Well, Lawrence Tynes has a Super Bowl ring, but you won't see me getting all butthurt over it.

The Chargers had the most talented team in the NFL in 2006 and 2007 but pissed those years away playing a young Philip Rivers instead of keeping Brees.

As a Chiefs fan, I find this so ****ing funny. ROFL

I also find it hilarious that the Chargers let Brees just WALK to the Saints. They didn't get shit for him. They let a future HOF QB just WALK. ROFL

As a Chiefs fan, this saddens me because either our GM was too incompetent to try and sign him or our owner was just too fucking cheep. :cuss:

There's no "or" involved.

was "both".

The question should be "Would the Chargers have had the first pick to take Luck if Manning had played for them?"

I'll bet Sproles really misses San Diego, too.

That hurts... We paid that guy tons of cash over the past 2 years and he wouldn't take a home town discount.
Seems like your either a Saints fan or just trying to punch a Charger fan in his his massive dick.

Just being a bit of a douche is all.

I sort of like the Saints because my favorite college QB (Chase Daniel) is their back up.

And I sort of hate San Diego because they're San Diego.

But that's pretty much the extent of it.

How could anyone hate San Diego?
I understand your out lash. It wasn’t easy being a Chiefs fan this season either.
Funny how I can’t think of a player you guys cut loose who’s tore it up this season.
(There's a reason for that).

It's just a division rivalry thing.

If it makes you feel better, I don't hate San Diego nearly as much as Denver or Oakland.

Chargers only really got good because of what else they got through that trade...

Jared Allen and Jason Babin had 40 sacks combined this year.

Which now = Rivers and a shitty Kicker.
We'd be better off with just Rivers.:thumb:

It's a good thing I said the Chargers have had no talent since the Rivers/Manning draft.

AJ had a good draft on 04, yet the only meaningful pick remains still on the team is Rivers. The past several drafts were underachieved. It is funny to see how the Chargers fans worshiping AJ as the greatest GM as ever. The draft of his eight years as GM is really average. I would say now the best GMs are in the FO of the Packers and the Saints. Majority of their current players are either undrafted or around 6/7th rounders. You don't see their fans treating their GM as god.

Also, AJ's handling on player contract went bad on several occasions: Jackson, Sproles, etc. He should not tagged Sproles for the second year, rather than working out a long term contract.
