This heat is going to be dyn-o-mite. I can just feel it.

I very quickly got addicted to "The League."

If you like "Always Sunny" or "Trailer Park Boys" it's probably your cup of tea...

Wow, this is a weak heat for me. I could only vote for two, and even that was a stretch.

My thoughts:

#1 - Good Times. While it wasn't my favorite show by any means, I did watch it frequently when it was on. It generally had good acting and reasonable plots, and Jimmie Walker was very good in his role.

#2 - Spin City. I think I only saw two episodes of this show, but thought it seemed reasonably funny. Michael J. Fox is very good at comedy, and Heather Locklear is very good at looking like Heather Locklear.

Didn't make the cut.

#3 - The League. I've never seen it but hear good things about it. That's not enough, though.

#4 - Charles in Charge. I never saw it. Ever. Never really wanted to, so I apologize if it was funny.

#5 - Louie. Are we sure this was even a show?

Nicole Eggert in her prime. Gets a vote.
And, Good Times.

Good Times was top notch when John Amos was on the first few seasons. The interaction between him and JJ was classic and what made the show. It was actually a pretty realistic father/son relationship.

The more I think about it, it was indeed a pretty high-quality show.

Yep...once he left though it went to shit. JJ in a larger role was awful in later seasons.

Don't forget the fact that Esther Rolle also left the show for an entire season.

The writing was the biggest indictment of the show's final seasons though.

I only voted for GoodTimes. Don't even know what those other shows are (were).

Not even trying to be a HDB, but if you know nothing about Louie, you owe yourself a try. Two short seasons thus far [no signs of stopping, it's one of FX's proudest possessions at present], and it's an audience darling.

If I had to encapsulate it [and believe me, it's a hard show to encapsulate], it'd be if Woody Allen were a lapsed Catholic who came up with Seinfeld.

AVClub reviewed every ep, and the lowest grade was a B+

Yes, and the only one on this list earning my vote.

The League is too good of a show to be running last. It is kind of a niche show but its freaking hillarious!

Charles in Charge should be leading the poll simply due to the fact that it introduced the world to the enchanting Nicole Eggert.

She was female perfection in my 10 year old mind.

Louie is awesome. my favorite episode is the one where Louie makes fun of the Lucky Louie show and points out that it was a POS. and still I liked the Lucky Louie show a lot.

even the promos and deleted scenes are funny

Wow, never caught the iron-clad relationship between stuttering and humor for Shapiro. In that clip, didn't stutter once, . . . horribly unfunny.
Usually, he's the guy who seems like he'd be funny if he weren't stuttering all over the fucking place.

And for those turned off by that bit approx 4:35-end, Rick Shapiro's not really a regular. Might've appeared in one other scene somewhere along the line in the series.

The League is really an excellent show - and I figured more folks on a Football bbs would have watched it

Give it a chance

Seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix

If Louie doesn't make the cut, I will go HDB and assert that it's TOO GOOD of a show for a mere sitcom label

Louie and The League are both outstanding.

I would love nothing more than to uncritically love 'The League.' But too many times it seems like a dumping ground for standup/sketch/bit ideas that the cast couldn't make work elsewhere. Like if it had hit harder, it would've made Children's Hospital or NTSF:SD:SUV.

Mantzoukas' Rafi is a great character, but Lajoie's Taco might be one of my least favorites around, and he's central-billed.

Spin City fell just short because I didn't watch it enough to have strong feelings. I haven't watched any of the others.

charles in charge?!? CHARLES IN CHARGE?!? THAT'S WHAT IT COMES DOWN TO?!?

fuck it. I'm paying for louie votes. if you vote for ONLY louie, (it would help to have a screen cap before/after), I'll kick 50,000 casino cash in to sweeten the pot.

Rain Man

Okay, moving on to Round 2 are Good Times, Spin City, and the vehicle designed to maximize Scott Baio, Charles in Charge.

Apparently casino dollars were not enough to save Louie.
