Continuing our parade through the Chiefs draft picks.

All the Chiefs selections chosen by popular demand by us Planeteers.

So many things we could do with this pick.

Charles is a great TE prospect and is the kind of gazelle who would be a perfect compliment to Moeaki.

Washington would look great next to Albert, giving us a line of Albert/Washington/Hudson/Asamoah/Potter. Blake would look great at center.

Wolfe or Crick offer us great depth for defensive end, Jenkins offers great depth at passrusher.

Those corners will be sorely needed, too, if we lose Carr.

I like the Broncos' draft so far quite a bit. So... thanks, I guess.

Markelle Martin. You need to be 3 deep at safety for injury reasons and to try to match up with todays TE's.

Potter in the 2nd is a horrible pick.

I would take Andrew Luck in the 3rd. Epic fall and it makes Aaron Rodgers feel better

I like the Giants second round pick. Seems like good value.

I take OT Schwartz of Cal because the Potter pick in the second if major fail.

Seems like if everyone voted for the last option it would stop.

Isn't the RB from Boise Doug Martin? vs Wilson? Am I missing something?

Anyways, Went Charles the TE. Cousins doesn't excite me and I don't think we can count much on Tony staying healthy long term. TE has to be addressed.

Phillip Blake was tempting because I've felt for a while our O-line needs some beef up front, but in the end, 3rd round is too high for a Center. Maybe next round.

Wonder if management feels this way sometimes.

Round 3 over soon. Still so many needs.

Round 1: Richardson
Round 2: Potter
Round 3: Looks like either Cousins or Charles

Still need the following just off the top of my head:

NT, RB, Center (or LG if Hudson plays Center), QB (if Cousins loses) or TE (if Charles loses), Safety depth

Chiefs are going to have to be active in FA.

Why would the Chiefs still need a RB?

Oh crap I forgot about getting Richardson in the 1st. My bad.

What two stud RBs isn't enough? :p

I'd take LG/C off that list as well. Lilja is still here for at least 1 year. I doubt we go into a season with 60% rookies on the line.

Well I'm just not high on Lilja.

The way I see it, you have:

LT - Albert
LG - Hudson
C - Rookie (or FA)
RT - Asamoah
RT - Rookie

Two rookies at most isn't bad IMO.

I may just end up creating a "final four" for this third round selection, since the votes are being so evenly dispersed.

Hudson is still very much a rookie, imo, and he's been second in line to take over for C when Wiegmann retires since he was drafted.

You can say he doesn't have a lot of experience sure. But you can't say he's a rookie or like one. Really we're not even discussing Hudson. He's most likely starting at Center next year.

So we're really talking about the need to replace Lilja. I'd like to see it happen. Sounds like you'd prefer the experience which is fine. I just personally think we could use more talent up front... And beef. Our interior O-line would be just over or right at 3 bills which I don't think cuts it anymore in today's NFL when going against 340 NTs.

Texans had one of the best offensive lines in the league and their interior would pretty much mirror what ours would be, in terms of size, with Lilja/Hudson/Asamoah.

If we can get Gary Kubiak & that Denver running system then I'm all for it. ;)

Has worked everywhere.

Otherwise? I say they're not big enough which IMO is why we've struggled on 3rd and short. Don't have the manpower to get the push.

Thats partly due to the 39 year old 280lb C who's only taking snaps because of his streak, who's hopefully going to retire, and be replaced by a 22 year old 300lb C.

I voted for TE. I don't want to ever want to see O'Connell or Becht on the field again. And Pope doesn't really do anything for this team.

My picks are OG DeCastro, RB Miller, and TE Charles. With a full off-season and training camp, I think the rookies and 2nd year players will surprise with their developement.

Anyone who favors or advocates for the Chiefs to take a RB with the 12th overall pick in the draft should be whored and destroyed in epic fashion.

See the two teams playing in the Super Bowl as evidence of how little importance RB's have in today's NFL.

RB's are a dime a dozen.

You don't waste the 12th overall pick in the draft on a RB.

You better have the best RB available when you have MC under center, not to disagree with you 50/50.
