Another tough heat, but aren't they all at this stage?

I give you five, you give me three, as in threepeat.

My thoughts:

#1 - Seinfeld. Still undefeated in my voting.

#2 - The Simpsons. While my support wavers a little since it's animation, it's still #2 in this heat.

#3 - Arrested Development. Good show.

Didn't make the cut.

#4 - I love the Wonder Years, but this is where I part ways and say that I'm not sure it's really a sitcom.

#5 - The Cosby Show. Meh. It's been playing over its head to get this far in the tournament.

Easy vote. Seinfeld, Simpsons, Arrested Development.

The Cosby Show was an integral part of my childhood.
I still stop what I'm doing whenever an episode is on.

Arrested Development, The Simpsons, The Wonder Years. Easy. Seinfeld fucking blows. The only funny part is the Soup Nazi - that can't make an entire sitcom worthy of watching for years.

I considered giving Seinfeld my only vote in this heat, but since it's bound to move on on the strength of the Soup Nazi bit alone if nothing else, I decided to cast a vote for The Simpsons and The Wonder Years too.

These 3 choices as well.

I considered only Simpsons and Seinfeld, but i threw one last vote towards the wonder years.

Its not, its a drama.

Its not, its a drama.

I tend to agree with this, although I don't see it as much different than Leave It To Beaver. The lines between sitcom, dramedy, and drama with a few laughs doesn't seem very distinct.

Anybody who doesn't vote ArrDev/Seinfeld/Simpsons should be hanged by lethal injection.

If you don't vote Arrested Development, you should be forced to say "Bob Loblaw's Law Blog" 1000 times in a row without messing up.

Don't think Wonder Years had a laugh track, or really any jokes.

This round seems to be running to form. I will be surprised if Arrested Development doesn't pull it out for 3rd.

This is the toughest heat ever.

I voted Wonder Years, Cosby Show, Simpsons. I love the other 2 shows as well, but the three I voted for just take me back. I would pass all 5 of these shows to the next round, and get rid of a couple that went through from heat 1.

Every episode is on Netflix, if you have it. I just discovered that a couple weeks ago.

I loved the parts of that show were when Cosby would interact with the little kids. So damn funny.

Rain Man, are you arbitrarily ending these when you see fit, or do you give them a set time limit?

I started out planning to give them 24 hours, but eventually noticed that the voting slows down considerably once it gets past about 140 votes. So generally if it hits 140 and I check it, I'll shut it down. Sometimes a heat will get lost on page 2 and I'll shut it down with fewer votes, and sometimes I'll be busy and let it stay up longer. In short, I do whatever strikes my fancy, but try not to shut down a poll before a whole bunch of people vote.

And on that topic, a bunch of people voted. Despite stiff competition, Seinfeld, The Simpsons, and Arrested Development make the leap to the next round.

Three great shows moving on. I personally think the final 3 should be Seinfeld, Cheers, and ADev but I understand that a lot of people haven't seen Arrested Development. Fox really did a number on that show. If only all the people that love it now watched it when it was on. I accept the fact that because of its unknown and 2.5 seasons that this may be the last heat it gets through.
