At the beginning of the NFLN Total Access (right after the intro) show recapping Sunday at the combine, they start out the show with clips of a few coaches and stop on Todd Haley laughing and they make an interesting exchange of comments about him:

Kara Henderson
"he is so excited to take over his new responsibility of the Pittsburgh Steelers"

Scott Hanson
"yeah, now he's all set at quarterback"

Kara Henderson
"Yeah, I think he has the guy he needs"

That is exactly, word for word, what they say.

Everyone knows Cassel is hot garbage:

But we may "get some competition in for him", so everything is fine.

Yes because KC passed on Ben in favor of Matt Cassel.

You either missed the point or are retarted.

Even the Chiefs know he's garbage man.

Matt couldn't be a garbage man....he'd miss the truck and it would be all over the ground.

I mean, they HAVE seen him play. I really don't think anyone who has actually watched him thinks he's anymore than a backup.
I'll bet Haley's Dad really did say that shit about not being able to win with the guy.

Yup.

Well, STL will deal the #2 pick. They want an Eli Manning style haul, we can make that happen if we want.

Pioli: I'll give you our first and a dinner at Mendy's

If the Chiefs had Philips Rivers to trade in the Eli Manning haul
I'd rather they keep him

If it was for the Manning haul, fine do it.

Two 1sts, a second and two thirds?

One of those 1st was Philip Rivers

Since SD and the NYG needed QBs that year and STL does not this year makes that argument moot.

Yeah, Drew Brees sucks.

Yeah, Drew Brees sucks.

He did when SD drafted Rivers. Hence why they drafted #4 that year. They didn't draft Rivers for shits and grins.

Weird. Everyone here seems to think GM's don't give up on QB's a few years after using a second round pick on them.

No, that article could have been an Indirect Media Shot at any other quarterback in the league except for about 5.

No one came in & cleaned this up

Chargers drafted Eli #1
Giants drafted Philip #4
The "Eli Manning style haul" isn't comparable with Rams #2 & Chiefs #11 IMO

On KCChiefs.com, Looney has an interview with Rich Gannon where he sings the praises of Matt Cassell and talks about how the Chiefs haven't made it easy on him with all the coordinators and what not since he's been there. I want Cassell gone, but I wonder if Gannon's opinion is shared by more people than we know in and out of the organization.

Orton had quite a few different OC's during the past 4 years as well. And even more new teammates to work with. He made it work.

What if the Rams just order the soup?

The Rams want one of their picks to be Blackmon, just as the Chargers wanted Rivers to be part of the deal. Its not happening.

Until something else happens, I am going to believe that the "competition" that Pioli promised for QB is going to be Henne/Quinn/Anderson, someone who can't possibly beat out the annointed one.
