Report: Browns unwilling to trade two 2012 NFL Draft first-round picks to Rams
by Dan Kadar on Mar 4, 2012 10:26 AM EST in 2012 NFL Draft

League sources told Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch that the Cleveland Browns are unwilling to trade their two first-round picks in the 2012 NFL Draft to the St. Louis Rams for the No. 2 overall pick.

With picks four and 22 overall this year, the Browns have the best immediate trade pieces in order to move up to draft Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III. Without having both picks in the trade, it makes it a greater possibility for teams like the Redskins and Dolphins to get in on a deal.

It should be noted that Thomas wrote the Browns are "unwilling at this point," so things could change it a hurry. He also pointed out that the Redskins are willing to give up their first-round pick this year (six) and next year. As Thomas points out, the Redskins don't want to give up their second-round pick this year.

The league sources also told Thomas that a trade with the Dolphins is "appears to be dead in water."

Read Thomas' full story here. It has a few other interesting notes.
