Pretty much feel the same as most. If Cassel is the starter this team gets none of my money. I'll watch them on TV and I'll root for them but I won't support the product financially.

Right now the Thunder gets all my money. I love the Chiefs but if they are going to let their roster go to waste because they want to prove they are right about one guy then fuck em.

The jury is out on the Royals. I'll go see some games in the fall if they are winning and add some pieces to really compete.

Before Manning - No
With Manning - Definitely.
No Manning - No.

Last year, for the first time in a decade, I paid for a bunch of games up front... and after the first few weeks I dumped the tickets and decided I wouldn't spend another dime until after they proved they were a serious contender. Manning would have been an exception, of course.... it's a QB league, and I'd pay to watch him live. I don't know how STHs do it... I've gone to maybe 2-3 games every year for the past several years, and I'm done. Couldn't imagine spending over a grand/year to see one or two decent-good games each season.

|Zach|
03-11-2012, 09:43 PM
Probably not. But this Manning thing hasn't swung me at all.

But that is hard to say. I can't predict how exciting I would be if they did sign him...maybe it would get me pumped for the season? As it is I am not more or less likely to go based on recent happenings. Which is bad because im not likely to go.

That and after the game experience and great ownership relationship Sporting Kansas City has with its fans the contrast makes Chiefs games even worse.

Dunno why everyone is on Mannings nuts. He could be shit for all we know. How do we even know that he is capable of playing at a high level after missing 1.5 years with a srs neck injury? How well would he play in a new style of offense? Everyone is assuming we would be getting the Peyton of old. Right now, he could be a broke dick QB for all we know.

I've only paid face or over about 10% of the time I've gone to games and that isn't going to change. Half the fun for me is tailgating in the lot. I'm happy to show up and then go home to watch it.

I said after that dumpster fire against Buffalo in Week 1 that I wasn't spending any money on the team until Cassel's gone.

Then this whole Manning fiasco happened. And it looks like the reason he doesn't want to even visit is because of the way Pioli runs the joint. I may have to amend that & say I'm not spending money until Pioli's gone...

I'll give SP until after the draft to find a legitimate upgrade at QB (Henne, Orton, Campbell don't count. Legitimate = chance at Super Bowl). If he hasn't done it by then, the Chiefs aren't getting a dime from me until Pioli & Cassel are both gone. Seeing as how he's been here for 3+ years, I think that's more than fair.

This is me as well. I go down from Omaha once a year, it's more about the event and the tailgating for me. A chance for me and one of my buddies to do our thing. There's usually enough rum to mitigate any pain that the Chiefs might cause me.

If Cassel is starting though...there might not be enough rum.

I'm willing to bet a lot of the no tunes will change with the team likely to do better with Charles, Moeaki and Berry coming back, even if Cassel is at QB... and should Cassel actually play better too... well then. Win a few games and people will get excited again even if they don't figure we can make a deep playoff run. People are too addicted to football to leave it be because they don't like the QB, especially if we're playing well at all.

However, if they march the same dipshit Cassel out there that throws game-ending picks on screen plays, I'll spend my Sundays elsewhere.

Am going try to make it to TC this year, am glad it's in our back yard and not in Minnisota anymore. I've never got to make a trip to TC and I can make a vacation out of it this year is what I'm hoping for. Probably take my kids to shlitterbahn in KC & go to a Royals game too. It all be fun. Havn't had a vacation in years, am do for one.

Am undecided on going to a game this year, hope Cassel is out if I get to go. Even if he is the QB the rest of the team would be worth going to watch. Fucking A we got a hell of a team other than the QB, that's what is so depressing right now about it is our Got Damn QB.

You can find cheap tickets later in the year when this dog-shit team is sitting at 4-8 because Cassel has a 48% completion rating, 8 TD's and 15 int's.

There, got that outta my system.

Unless they make some moves to suck me in, I'll be checking the scores from my phone and tuning in for a couple of the rival games. As long as Cassel is QB, I won't step foot in the stadium. No fucking way am I forking over the cash to go watch a team that isn't trying to win it all.

Luck or RG3 would have put me in the seats. As much as I hate 5 head, he would have been good for a game or two depending on how crippled he is.

Signing Orton, or the best option out there, picking up Solari, and drafting Richardson would put me in front of the tv for every game I could catch.
