In terms of name recognition, the early run on pass-catchers has left only a few notable options available.

San Francisco is in play for another wideout, even after signing Randy Moss, with Brandon Lloyd, Chaz Schilens and Mario Manningham all having visited with the 49ers already.

Schilens also has drawn interest from Arizona and is visiting the Jets today, according to league sources. New England has significant interest in Lloyd, and is bringing in former Colt Anthony Gonzalez for a physical as well, sources said.

Sources said Miami is also interested in Manningham. Buffalo, after losing out to the Chargers for the services of Robert Meachem, could still be seeking receiving help.

WR Eddie Royal, who made a visit to Washington, is in San Diego today, sources said. Several other teams have interest in Royal. Washington, even after signing WRs Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan, is still mulling receiving options.

Manningham would be good insurance.

While this makes sense in theory. Jerricho Cotchery is the only one of the three currently living under a rock, therefor making him our only option.

Yeah, he'd come here to play WR4.

We have no one to throw the ball to them, so getting a WR is useless at this point.

Hilarious. The CHIEFS SUGGEST they need a WR and I get cruxified for offering a better suggestion.

I think many are also are forgetting Bowe is only franchised and currently on a one year deal.

Heaven forbid somebody talk FA on the board and discuss something different than Peyton friggin Hillis or Stanzi.

I think Manningham is going to demand a bit more than what we would be willing to give for a #4 receiver, and I really doubt he will play ST.

this

unless we have a specific plan to move Bowe or something, we need to spend the money elsewhere.

It would be nice but we are trying to sign Bowe and Jerrry will come cheap and the others won't.

nah, the 4th WR position is for a young WR/ST/KR type guy.

using it on a veteran guy just seems like a waste to me

Exactly. These Madden ballas don't understand the roles of 4th and 5th recievers apperently.

I've always liked Manningham from a pure deep threat perspective. He drops a lot of balls though.
