With Barry Richardson as our right tackle I think most of us would've taken Dexter McCluster as his replacement.

Good signing but doesn't make up for the fact we don't have a QB and that Pioli's comments about "competition" for Cassel in camp have been whittled down to Stanzi/Quinn.

tredadda

Cough...QB....cough

I know, but we are running out of those options this year. Fix what is fixable. None of the FA QB's impresses me except Manning and we all but have no chance at him. Since we don't need a FA QB (in spite of the Quinn signing), and the only two worth anything in the draft will be gone by the time we pick, we might as well address other needs. Then get our QB next year (as much as it pains me to say that).

I heard this leaked out of the conference room when things got REALLY heated in negotiations. Scott Pioli got really angry and said, "Winston, if you were my husband, I'd poison your tea." And Eric just looked at him and said, "Nancy, if I were your husband, I'd drink it!"

Not only did Winston sick burn him, but he called him a nancy, too!

He's okay.

He's sticking up for his teammate(s), particularly the quarterback. I don't mind an offensive lineman getting testy with people who are criticizing his boy. And it's about time someone on this team showed some fire.

Winston's always been an outspoken guy and if anyone on the team was going to get riled up about some fans booing and let them know how he felt, it was going to be him.

I'm not going to get down on Winston as much as others have because he is defending his QB, regardless of who it is/what they do on the field. It's better than having some incomptent schmuck out there that doesn't give two shits about the game or the team or the QB.

Regardless of his remarks about the fans, I've seen Crennel, more than once, talk to Winston before several key plays (3rd downs, 4th downs, challenges, etc). It seems to me that RAC values Eric's opinion.

He better apologize to the fan base. Hunt pretty much threw Eric under the bus when he clarified that it was only a small portion of the fans who cheered.

"This week's show included lots of booing, four more Matt Cassel turnovers, a conservative approach from coach Romeo Crennel, a Cassel botched snap at the goal line that would have given the Chiefs the lead, Cassel eventually leaving the game with a head injury and the home fans cheering (Yes, they cheered.)"

(FTR I admit my error. It wasn't on Winston.)
