I was hoping we'd get a comp pick for retaining Cassel.

Who could we gain a pick for? What round?

More! More! Faster!

I wonder if the Saints will get compensatory picks for losing those two second-round picks.

This is for FA's lost last year, right? Did the Chiefs lose any significant FA's? Waters was cut, IIRC, so he wouldn't count.

Wha - ? Who did they lose? There aren't any Raiders who could even start for other teams.

Not any more there's not. But that's because they cut them or let them go to FA the last 2 years.

Y'know, this is a very good point about Brandon Carr. Check out this article: http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2012/2/21/2813686/kansas-city-chiefs-free-agency-compensatory-pick

It basically says that by letting Carr go to a big contract and signing Routt, who was cut, we could be in line for a nice compensatory pick, which should be taken into account in personnel decisions. I hadn't thought about that.

Nnamdi Asomugha, Robert Gallery and Zach Miller,

Oh. Nnamdi. Forgot about him. I'm not sure I see Gallery and Miller being worth a 4th and 5th rounder, though. Maybe a couple of 7ths.

I think they felt sorry for the Raiders not having any picks this year. :shake:

Another thought on this - Gallery was so awesome that he was cut after one year. How is that worth a 4th or 5th?

Do the Colts get a comp for Peyton Manning next year?

Because if so, that's dumb.

I think that since they cut him and therefore he wasn't a free agent, they shouldn't get one.
