Found a USB Thumb drive

So the other day walking to my car at the airport parking lot. I found an usb drive on the ground.<O:p</O:p

Of course it was like 11:50 pm on a Sunday night and I have to be in the office in the morning. It was a long day of flying. So I take the drive with me. In the morning I call TSA and Lost and Found. Gave them my info and description of the device just in case someone calls in looking for it. No one has called in for it yet. <O:pI figured as long as I have it, I can try to find the people. TSA or Lost and Found would destory it or steal it after time.

So out of my own curiosity, I plug it into an old bench computer at work and run a virus/malware scan against it. After that was complete I started browsing through it.

Lots and lots of vacation pictures of these people. I would really like to get it back to them, but there isn’t any information on it describing who these people are.

Also there weren’t any porn or nudity shots on it, so no you can beat off to a picture on CP. Losers.

CP is full of some internet investigating badasses... IF I post a picture of them, do you think we could figure out who they are?

Seems like a long shot, but would be nice to return this drive full of memories to the righful owner.

This should be easy. The lead, is the plate on the car and the steer horns. Drop the dealership a call and tell they you are going to email that picture. They will be able to ID the car/owner. Call they guy up......done.

That is much harder.. you can try finding it on Facebook.. some people do list it there or sometimes even message it out to others via their wall. More than likely, you will have to use a pay service ... usually only a couple bucks though.

Yeah, if you've sent them both a message on FB then I'd just leave it at that. Something to note is that if you send someone a msg on FB and you're not friends, it can get filed under "other" msgs and they may not be notified of them. Or just mail the drive if you're sure you have the address.
