I noticed awhile back that many members were having serious challenges with life and that seems to have really died down lately so I wanted to ask this question to get an idea of how things are out there.

I'm amazed by how much happier the great weather makes me. There's so much more to look forward to when it's 78 degrees and sunny.

Iowanian

I wake up stiff and sore about every morning and have some health issues, but I'd say I am happy and fulfilled.
Being negative or complaining has no value other than to drag someone else's day down. I'll always tell you I'm good if you ask.
Sometimes, someone will question that, and my response is always "saying it is the first step to believing it".

Do I have everything I want? no...but I have a great family, challenging but awesome kids and in general things are going well. I truly think that believing you're happy is the biggest key to being happy.

It's rainy and I'm a little achy today and fighting allergies, but if someone asks, I'll tell them I'm either 1.awesome or 2. living the dream. 3. In pursuit of happiness

As my kids left this morning and we did the hugs, and I watched my not quite 2yr old stomp out the door in his boots and silly ball cap and turn around and cheerfully give me the morning "bye bye daddy"....I have the world by the tail.

you can only have so many CP battles, it/they get old. They're not soft, the keyboard of doom is only moments away from regenerating another good, complete n00b thrashing. With that being said, most everyone on here is alright, if you take time to know them. Even the really tough, badass ones.

I didn't say they were soft... I suggested they may have "softened" and I meant it as a compliment.

Life pretty much sucks at the moment,Mama Nzoner just got news that her cancer has spread and has to do what the doc is calling some radical radiation and chemo,my uncle was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and is not doing well at all,one of my best friends recently got a kidney transplant and then contacted a serious virus and has been hospitalized for over a month and to top it off Mrs Nzoner found out yesterday that the sever pain she is experiencing is from her RA attacking her lower vertabre and is now faced with a major back surgery that if does not work will find her wheelchair bound sooner than later.

I voted number 4 anyhow. :(

I'm about a 7 right now. Life's not perfect but it doesn't have to be and I'm okay with that. I've got my health, my wife and kids, a good job, and a much better outlook on life than a few months ago. So yeah 7 sounds about right.

Generally not happy. Work stress/anxiety/financial issues have been a bitch lately. I have my daily moments though usually when I'm around my family. There are bright spots; such as my 15 + 13 year old brothers had great wrestling seasons this year (1 of them won his 3rd youth state title, the other placed for the 2nd consecutive year), my 1 and a half year old daughter is at a cute stage, have another daughter due in May, my fiancee is hot and funny and I love her, the weather has been nicer, bass fishing is around the corner, etc. Just need time to enjoy all this stuff. When I post on Chiefsplanet, it's basically like my smoke break at work since I don't smoke.

I'm getting happier by they day because I leave on May 2nd for Denmark and that always makes me giddy. So right now, I am happy more often than not, but when May 2nd gets here, and on May 3rd when I am in Copenhagen International, heading to the domestic terminal for my flight to Aalborg, I'll be radiating waves of joy!

I'm very happy with my life, my wife, and myself except that my job is bothering me a lot. I'm seriously underachieving and I'm stuck in a bit of a rut. It's not a major thing - I still have a job that pays well...I'm just disappointed because I know I can do much more. I guess I'd rate life at about a 7 or 8 due to this.

Also keep in mind that happiness is relative to the highs and lows you've experienced in your life. Something seemingly minor to some of you guys (like my career griping) might seem like a huge deal to me just because I haven't dealt with something incredibly difficult, such as a wife with cancer or a child dying or something.

yeah; the doc used that word, but then based on his recommended treatment etc, it sounds like it can be managed. I'm leaning more towards the manageable side of things.

I'm a happy person and frankly happier thatn I deserve to be. I thank God that I didn't give up about 18 years ago when things really sucked.

I love my family so much and for the rest of the way through this life that is all that really matters.

Just kidding, my expectations for life aren't high enough for me to feel slighted by anything that happens. 8.

Well yeah, that's about the sum of it. You can't have the same appreciation for the good things in life until they are taken away (or are threatened to be taken away).
