Neil Smith? He's speaking today at my college. Mostly about his life struggles, etc. Do I forgive him, or should I stab him in the neck with a brick instead?

No poll. Just words, brethren.

Go and heckle him about being a traitor. Also, ask him if breathe right strips really worked for him.

Uh. Any college that allows Neil Smith to speak should probably lose any accreditation immediately. Neil Smith is a perfect example of why "student-athlete" is a misnomer in many cases.

I like Neil, and forgive him for doing that unspeakable evil in his final years. He made a lot of Chiefs fan years enjoyable, and he was in the audience when Derrick Thomas was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He made a terrible mistake, yes, but it's time to forgive and move on.

Oh, and John Elway can rot in hell.

Neil was on Petro last week talking about Bounty Gate. Classic hilarity ensued...

Apparently in Neilbonics, the word "forefront" is interchangeable with "format".

“Someone finally came out and brought it to the format and now they have evidence that it happened. … It’s been like that forever.”

I don't know the details but I think it was all about money and the possibility of a ring.

The fans are only important to themselves.

No fan likes to see one of the players their team drafted go to a rival, but most people would of done the same thing. Forgiving him should be easy.

Yeah we did the same thing in the 90's. Joe Horn said so on national TV.

No, as Phobia stated Neil Smith is the epitome of an athlete being handed a microphone based on nothing other than his playing days. His english is terrible, but what makes it worse is instead of someone like Charles (who doesn't try to sound any smarter than he is) he tries to use big words and constantly uses them out of context.

I love me some Neilbonics.

“Now however, it’s unfortunately that the coach gets the suspension behind it because he knows what’s happening. But if you put the coach on our own side of it, and you look at the inside of him and say, ‘Okay. The players does it on defense!’ ”
Neil Smith, 810 AM
GH: I was still trying to get my head around how we are supposed to look inside the coach when Neil went into what he believes a bounty is. Read on.

“We could put in a pot and say, ‘We win, a guy get a hit, the best hit, the best sack, a fumble recovery or whatever. We put our own money into it, they’ll make it no difference.”
Neil Smith, 810 AM
GH: What Neil describes here is not a bounty system. But Petro appeared flummoxed by the former defensive end’s adroit use of Neilbonics that he was left mesmerized and unable to ask a cogent follow-up question – like “What the hell are you talking about, Neil?”

“I really believe that it’s not gonna stop. The players gonna do it on their own. It’s like anything else. It’s like the country club. You have these five bets with guys, the bets for whatever you want to do. It’s just a part of it. It’s no different than a guy when he wins and
he goes back to the casino and he wants to go back and win again. But he never wins. It’s just a part of the nature of the beast.”
Neil Smith, 810 AM
GH: I think Petro’s noggin exploded after this classic Neilbonics rap.

“If I had to do it all again, I just think that I would probably not go that way. The way I feel. I love the game… I would probably go another direction. But I can’t say that because I have a son that is 14 years old and he just loves his dad to death and I have a son that is six
years old had he really don’t know where his father’s, but my older son he knows but…”
Neil Smith, after Petro asked him if he could, would he change anything about his NFL career, 810 AM
GH: Petro tried to make a comeback here and drive the Neilbonics bus back onto at least the shoulder. Read on.

“What all you went through?”
Soren Petro, 810 AM

“My body, the way I feel right now, I really don’t think I would go back and play football and do it all over again. But if I had to go that way, I would do it the exact same way that I did the way I started it.”
Neil Smith, 810 AM

Neil Smith...

One of my favorites of all time. I was heart broken when he went to the donks.

He does speak like a moron.
