Bumping back to the front page. Not sure which way I am going to vote, as this mock leaves us all pretty much right where most of us fear. DeCastro, Brockers, Reiff and the likes to choose from.

Jags fans want Coples?

Uhh d'okay. I guess their fans are as dumb as their ownership/coach.

DeCastro or Kuechly... I'm 100% fine with either. If there are trades then a trade down to get either Brockers or Barron is fine.

We don't have enough fans to actually vote so they just put someone they think we want. We want Michael Floyd.

IMO with those players available, Kuechly would upgrade our talent the most.

I took a shot in the dark and voted for Poe. While I unterstand he may be a bit of a reach and to an extent even agree with that, I feel the upside might be too much to pass up.....and if coached up correctly, he would definitely fill a huge need for the Chiefs and their young talented defense.

Ater watching tape I've noticed a handful of expectionally athletic plays for a man his size. He gets up after getting cut blocked. He's made an open field tackle on runnigback or two. On double teams he does not get pushed back and in fact usually pushes slightly forward. He plays everywhere on the line (big bonus for 3-4 teams like the Chiefs). It rarely to me appears as though he gets out of his run lane. He also has pretty solid pass rush moves for a man of his size. I've noticed where he really gets in trouble the most, is when he tends to get a little high, in which case he'll sometimes get stood up.

Overall though I don't think the Chiefs would actually make this pick, so it's probably a moot point anyhow. For the record I wouldn't have too much of a problem with Kuechly, Richardson, DeCastro, or a trade down to draft Brockers if any of those such things were to happen on draft day either.

Thigpen sucks and everyone knows it. There isn't a sole that would give up anything more than a 7th round pick for a guy that will never be deserving of anything more than a backup at best 3rd string really.

Hightower

that's my vote. though, i'd be happy with Keulchy too.
ideally I'd want to move down a few spots, and get Hightower. I think he's be there around 16-20.

but, either of those LBs would be a great addition, IMO.

who do you think will want to trade up (serious question). I'm sure it depends on how it plays out etc. Just curious what you think.

The way the mock has unfolded I think the only chance you have of moving down is if a team fell in love with Reiff and thinks he can play LOT. It's a pretty thin LOT draft.

Teams aren't going to move for an ILB or G and there appear to many CBs in the mid 1st - mid 2nd range.

Results are in...

With the 11th pick in the GBN fan mock draft, Kansas City has chosen Boston College LB Luke Kuechly. Kuechly edged out Memphis DT Donatri Poe for the pick, while Stanford OG David DeCastro also received considerable support.

11 Kansas City 234 votes; LB Luke Kuechly 35%; DT Dontari Poe (27%); OG David DeCastro (22%)

When I was stationed at NAS Jax (69), the city billed itself as the "largest city in the U.S." Is that still true?

Yes, area wise it still is. That's all it really meant. Not population wise. It is so spread out and the city limits are poorly done so it includes the boonies. Yes, land wise it is the largest.
