Ok, I posted this in the pictures area for members "cool car pics", but thought I'd share it here also. I've been wanting one of these since I got rid of my 1951 3A almost 20 years ago. It's a 1948 CJ2A. Already got her runnig strong. The goofy box on the front is to accomodate a non original F head motor. I'll eventually replace it with the original L head flat four and get rid of that, but I'm gonna enjoy running around in it for a while first. She needs brakes and a new exhaust, but otherwise she's pretty solid. Those are next. Named her Truman (HST was pres in 1948, and were big Tiger fans). I needed one MORE thing to keep me busy.

Oh, there are other pics in the pics area, but some have my son in them, so I didn't post them here.

Awesome. Back in the 60's my dad restored a '48. Mom drove us kids all over town in it. It was our second vehicle.

Saw that in the pictures forum. Sweet rig. :thumb:
Just a thought, but if you’re going to go swapping engines around you might consider a Dauntless V-6. Several guys at EarlyCJ5.com are sold on those mills and I think it’s a bolt in swap but don’t quote me on that.
