The Chiefs were offensively inept in 2011. So what do they do? They add 4 fatties (Winston, Poe, Allen, and Stephenson) and Hillis. How in the world is this team going to score any points?

Jamaal Charles has proven to be worth a TD a game to the offense, so it all starts with him being healthy and ready to go.

Oh I realize that. The offense will be better than it was this past season though. The offense has gotten much better despite the waste of skin at QB. He'll hold them back, but he can't hold them back nearly that badly.

A lot depends on Bowe. Who I assume they're going to hang on to. He and Breaston are solid starters on the outside, and I'm interested in seeing what Baldwin looks like with a full offseason. I'd limit Charles' carries, let him get his 1000 yards, and let Hillis fill the Thomas Jones role (he should do a better job than Jones ever did).

If they can get Cassel from "bad" to "mediocre", i.e. carry him up to the 15-20 range in the league in QB, they'll be 'good enough' on offense.

Unfortunately. "Good enough" means he's here for a while. There's part of me that wants him to flame out again like he did last year just to clear the position for 2013.

I didn't read the thread so excuse the reposts...

Charles, Moeaki, Bowe, Baldwin, Breaston, an oline that should protect Cassel enough to be a game manager with playmakers and a good kicker.

Man I don't even pay that close attention and I can answer this.

This draft would give ol' Marty a chub. Despite reports to the contrary, it has RAC's fingerprints all over it. It looks to me that they will go full ball control offense to keep the defense fresh.

I imagine that they will definitely go RB in the next round or two.

We'll be better offensively. Jamal being even 75% will improve the running game plus Hillis will help move the chains. Whoever plays QB should have enough talent around them to manage the game as long as they don't make BIG mistakes. It will be better but that's not saying much. It was atrocious last year.

Nope. Most NFLers who have had these injuries regardless of position say it takes a full 2 yrs to feel the same as before the injury even if they are playing within a yr.

Most NFLers also don't have the luxury of a full year of rehab to come back from ACL tears, as they almost always are trying to rush back to get into game.

Charles, Berry, and Moaeki will have that luxury.

All three will have nearly a full year of rehab and conditioning to prepare before they actually have to step onto the field and perform, and they will have a huge positive effect on their returns.

I think Cassel will have, what for him, is a good year... follow that up with the healthy return of Charles, the new free agents, a stronger line & i think the O will be good enough to keep most contests very interesting.

And really, its mostly going to be the defense that determines our fortunes this year anyway, imo.

First da center hands da ball to da quarterback.
den da quarterback hands da ball to da runningback and he runs around for a while.
Den the center hands da ball to da quarterback and he trows it around for a while.

Den da punter kicks it around for a while.

Den it's da defense turn.

Day wait for da center on the udder team to hand it to dare quarterback and Poe knocks dare center down ( dat's the guy in da middle) Den our linebackers runs on top of da center (cause he is laying down now) and trys to tackle da udder teams quarterback.

Dey do dat two more times and dare quarterback drops da football.

Dat's called a fumble. Den one of our linebackers picks it up and runs to their end and day give us points for dat.

Well Charles and Hillis will be better than 2 yard Thomas and Jackie Battle, moeaki and boss will be better than pope and o Connell, you won't have weigmann, Richardson, and possibly lilja getting owned every play. So the offense should be better even with dipstick at qb
