Sirens went off here and headed to the basement, but all the activity was to the south and east of us.

. Supercells all around KC area. Confirmed tornado southeast of Raymore as of 10 minutes ago.

Man, 2 weeks ago, here in central cali. we had tornado warnings. That shit was crazy. We had funnel clouds and what not. Shit like that doesnt happen here. i was like wtf do you do in a tornado? lol

We're good in OP supposedly a tornado briefly touched down in Olathe though.

I don't think it actually touched down. I actually watched it form. It was pretty cool. I'd never actually seen a tornado. That said, it formed a long, skinny funnel for about 3 minutes but never got all that close to the ground. It was small but still pretty cool to see.

One station said it touched down by the Great Mall. That's actually about the safest place in Kansas for one to touch down other than Memorial Stadium in Lawrence after halftime. We're just lucky it didn't strike somewhere that people actually go.
