I'm right there with Pestilence, but I'd put Allen over Lilja in the depth chart. I'm sure it will get there by October, but I just want these guys working together from jump street.

How amazing would it be if they just straight-up released Cassel? Either Quinn is a legit first rounder who never got a fair shot, or he is a bust and we need to draft a QB in the first round. This way, at least, the QB situation solves itself.

2. Lead this team from behind in at least 3-4 games.
3. Throw for more than 4000 yards, 30+ TDs with less than 12 INTs.
4. Average more than 250 yards per game.
5. Win a playoff game.

2. Lead this team from behind in at least 3-4 games.
3. Throw for more than 4000 yards, 30+ TDs with less than 12 INTs.

And go better than .500 against teams with winning records, too. Knowing our schedule this year there should be plenty for him to work with.

Pretty much, he's going to have to put up numbers and wins that the REALLY good QBs do. We're talking top 10, like Pestilence said. I know he can't be Brady/Rodgers/Brees, but it shouldn't be out of the question to ask for Tony Romo or Philip Rivers.

Basically, I don't want 2010 Cassel. That Cassel still had the stench of bad fucking QB to him. In the great games that he had, he didn't prove jack shit other than he's a tough guy who can play the week after having appendicitis. That's not good enough. He needs to demonstrate mental toughness as well, which he never did playing against the NFC West.

Hell, I don't even want 2010 Cassel who wins a playoff game. I don't want a shitty QB running my team. I want a real QB that we can count on to potentially win a Super Bowl. If we don't have that, then this team can't get focused on improving the little things that make champions

We expect Check Down will look ok against poor/mediocre competition and look like crap against the better teams. This is the 4th time around. No surprises here. He could have the 1999 Rams offense around him and it would still be the same.
