Not sure that's really a great argument. Sure, if you manage to truly multitask and piss while you're washing your hair. But I'd guess most people stand there and pee while they're not doing much else. Therefore, you're still wasting water as it flows out during the pissing process.

Do the pipes really direct the water to different places that make it bad to do those things?

Urine isn't exactly sterile. It's a waste product. Also, unless you are the only one to use the shower in which you pee, is it really okay for you to urinate in the place where someone gets clean?

Urine is fine. It's not technically sterile, but poses no threat to you if you pee on your feet, especially in the shower. I pee in the shower, so does the wife.

Everything that goes down the drain is a waste product.

We aren't talking about peeing in the bath water that others are gonna use here.

We are talking about peeing right into the drain.

I never used to in high school...I was one of 5 kids and we were always told not to and I didn't.

I got athletes foot in high school and one of my teammates told me to pee on em in the shower and I did. It worked.

Again, we aren't talking about standing in pee (like you seem to want to paint it as) in the shower...we are talking about peeing right into the drain.

I guess I don't see the difference between doing that and using the toilet (which I do almost all of the time)

Again, do the pipes from the shower go to a different place than that of the pipes from the toilet? I honestly don't know.

I love peeing in the shower.....for some reason it just relaxes me. I also brush my teeth in the shower.....both are great fun! Honestly, I don't see pissing in the shower being as big of a deal, as others sometimes make it out to be. You're washing yourself off anyway, so if you go before you wash then there's is really nothing wrong at all is there? Besides, sink, toilet or shower, it all goes straight down the drain and to the same sewer anyways. Plus I like the pretty color it makes on the shower floor (just kidding).....and it saves water by not flushing the toilet unnecessarily. Now peeing in the bath is another story, since it's all just going to sit there while you're in it too.

In all seriousness, in most cases, I only pee in the shower if I'm feeling exceptionally lazy. Otherwise I don't usually have a problem stepping out to the toilet in the same room.

No, because no matter how much you dry off immediately after taking a shower, you are still moist...and it's a pain in the ass trying to wipe your ass while your body is moist. I, for one, can't stand wiping with toilet paper that will disintigrate after just one swipe of the ass. It's frustrating.

There is water and a drain.

I find it incredible difficult to believe the thought of pissing in the shower had never crossed your mind.

To each their own. Just surprised by the poll. Had no idea people even did this.

I just took a poll with 11 dudes in the room (the girls are in the kitchen). I said, "everyone raise your hand if you either piss or have taken a piss in the shower." Everyone raised their hand, BUT there were a couple people who hesitated and looked at everyone else with a stupid smile on their faces before raising their own hands. The people voting "no" on here are the ones who are the ones who would hesitate while being asked this at a gathering.

Just cant figure out the opposition, if its a communal bathtub where the family actually takes sit down baths, then of course there is another standard there.

But for a bachelor or whoever that generally takes stand up showers, unless they're sick a few times a year & just want to soak, there isnt a single thing to get all antsy about... hot water, soap & in my case, toothpaste... washes it all right down just fine, unless you're some kind of Howie Mandel quality germaphobe.

The only exception I can see is if you are Kaiser Soze and are dehydrated to the point where your piss comes out like snot. In that case, you may have difficulty getting your piss through the drain. If that's not the case (which in most cases it's not) what reason will you have to not piss in the shower other than, "I'm just too prissy?"

How much do all the religious tracts mean to you? How old were you when you created your account?

I've pissed in many places. However, the yard, toilet, sink and shower were the only intentional places. I went through a streak when I was a senior in college where I kept sleep-walking after I'd drink and I'd either piss in my hamper or on top of our stereo speakers in the living room. In my drunken stupor/sleep state of mind, I must have subconsciously thought my hamper and our stereo speakers were the toilet....or shower....or sink....or I may have thought I was in a yard.

This reminds me. Does anyone else have the following phenomenon?

If I'm asleep and my bladder is full, my dreams will involve me trying to find a bathroom. Other dreamlike stuff will be happening, but it'll go something like this:

I'm in a hotel on a business trip and I'm trying to find a bathroom. Attractive women will be taking off their clothes in the lobby and I'll think about how interesting it is, and that I'll return after I find a bathroom. I find a bathroom and for some reason it's open to the lobby so I won't want to use it. Then a bunch of coyotes will run through and eat all of the old people and I'll be running for my life. I get to the second floor and find a bathroom, but for some reason the toilets aren't yet installed, so I'll keep looking. Then some crazy person will push me out a window and I discover that I can fly. So I fly to McDonald's to use their restroom, but they're mopping it and it's got one of those 'bathroom closed' signs in the doorway. So I go back to the hotel and...you get the idea. The pattern will continue until I wake up.

My dream's a little different, and it hasn't happened in years and years now, but there were a couple of times in my life where I'd not only be dreaming about having to pee and finding a bathroom, but I'd actually find one and start peeing in my dream. Only to wake up in a panic realizing that I was either on the verge of peeing or had already started.

These days I wake up if there's even an ounce of pee in my bladder. I have to be careful not to drink to many liquids before bed or I'm up all night (or all day, as it sometimes is with me).
