I was there summer of '80. Pretty good time. Learned a lot about the state government. Ended up getting named chief of the Highway Patrol. Lieutenant Governor got kidnapped by a county, I had to go find him.

Went in Louisiana many moons ago. As far as the program, it absolutely sucked... until we all realized we just didn't give a damn any more. From that point on, it was fun as hell - breaking curfew to pull pranks, meet up with the girls, etc. But yeah, the government parts suck.

Went in the summer of '73. Assigned to the same county as Paul Coffman. Even though I have never talked to him since those days, it was pretty cool following his career first at KSU... then at Green Bay and Kansas City.
