He might as well hang them up.... or better yet he can be like the other ppl who gonna sue the NFL.

Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters ruptured his Achilles' tendon for a second time this offseason, according to a report from CSNPhilly.com's Derrick Gunn. The Eagles later confirmed the injury.

It's devastating news for the Eagles and a player who was voted first-team All-Pro last season. A ruptured Achilles is the worst NFL injury we can think of. Experiencing the same injury twice in one offseason is almost unimaginably unlucky.

Peters reportedly was using a device called a Roll-A-Bout to maneuver around his house. The device reportedly malfunctioned, then Peters fell on his face and ruptured the Achilles again. He's going to sue the manufacturer. He will require a second surgery. This might be the saddest story we've written this offseason.

The first injury occurred in late March, so the latest injury will set back Peters' rehabilitation. He was a long shot to play in 2012, and now any chance for Peters to suit up is out the window. The Eagles will have to rely on former Buffalo Bill Demetress Bell to take Peters' spot, with King Dunlap backing him up. The team traded Winston Justice this offseason.

It's a huge loss for Philadelphia. As great as LeSean McCoy and Trent Cole and Jason Babin were last season, we'd argue that Peters was the team's MVP.

my buddy who is a Bills fan was so pissed when they traded Peters. Looks like the Bills knew what they were doing after all.

I doubt this thing is rated to hold up an NFL lineman.
Good luck with that law suit.

All the models I see on their site have a maximum weight of 500 lbs. He's not THAT big.

How sad. I wish Jason Peters the best. Great left tackle. Given his size and age, I hope he makes it back.

The Eagles weren't counting on Peters returning this season. They signed Bills free agent OT Demetress Bell to a five year contract. Don't remember the dollar amount.

Peters was ranked No. 1 among all offensive tackles last year - I believe by Pro Football Focus. I could be wrong.

I think Peters weights 350 lbs.

If I'm wrong, I'll edit the post.

Edit: Jason Peters 6'4" 328 lbs 9 years Pro

He sure looked around 350 lbs on the offensive line. Not 328.

Peters would like up across from JPP most of the time.

Hours later and it's still pretty funny just picturing a 400 pound dude using that shit.

I just did an image search.
I stand corrected.
I wonder what the actual malfunction was that caused the torn ACL.
