I have some premium strip steaks for the grill.

What you got? I'm interested in some interesting side dishes if you have them.

Not sure. Tonight will probably be something simple. Tomorrow, probably grilling burgers.

I will be enjoying brats at the royals game while my wife will probably be elsewhere enjoying a Mexican guy's cock.

Snow crab and crab bisque with a fresh baguette. Probably a salad to finish it off. Vanilla ice cream for dessert for the critters.

A Mexican guy's cock is probably a nice side dish for your wife, but it's not what I'm looking for. Go Royals!

Making a few wagers on the Preakness, watch the race, then 1/2 lb. burgers for the grill. Red onion, pepper jack cheese, toasted buns.

Getting out the big fryer and doing sweet potato chips and onion rings.

Jalapeno and bacon stuffed hamburgers grilled over lump charcoal.

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives showed a killer blue cheese and bacon burger. One half was the burger, the other side was bacon and blue cheese. Grilled the bacon/cheese side first until the cheese was crusty and then flipped to cook the burger. I want one of those, but I think I need to drive to Pennsylvania.

How did they keep the cheese from melting off and running down into the fire?

Sounds good, though I'd prefer unbreaded shrimp.

I'd like to find a quality fish taco recipe.

The cheese was between the bacon and the burger.

:hmmm: I may have to experiment with this sometime. Gonna have to do it with something other than blue cheese though, I've never been a fan of that stuff.

After looking up lump charcoal I am intrigued. It it more of a temperature thing or hardwood flavor vs whatever stuff is in briquettes one?

Lump is hardwood fired in an oxygen free environment. It removes all the undesirable constituents which makes for a clean burn. The only way to go.

Hell I didn't know that, I started using it because it makes the food taste way better. Although that may be because I'm actually tasting the food now and not all the garbage that is in a regular briquet.

Brussels sprouts ladrons goes very well with steak, imo, and it allows you to incorporate bacon/pancetta into your meal. It's a double win.

Garlic mashed potatoes with Parmesan cheese is another good match.

Ha! Haaaaaaa! 3 bites on that one. Color me surprised. :p

Getting ready to toss salad right now. I must toss them separately though because we like different dressings. I'll toss Gonzo's salad first, then, I'll toss my own. I may need a back rub afterwards. :hmmm:

Being from a beach area, I miss these!!! And....if y'all have never been to Rumors in Lee's Summit, go and try the seafood chowder!!! I'm from the beach and it's about the best I've ever had!

He's usually the one that tosses the salads around here, but I was going to do it tonight. LMAO

Joking aside, we ended up skipping the salads because he made 2 pizzas. They were damn good, too! But, as usual, I ate too much and now I feel like crap.
