Kyle and all the Android fanbois would beg to differ.

The really hip people are forgoing mobile phones now and going back to land lines. And they're using big, fancy antique telephones.

Don't know that i would go that far. I fall into the android camp but understand that the iPhone is a pretty nifty device. In no way shape or form would I ever own one... But that is because I like to modify my device more than the iphone allows. For someone with no intention to modify the device, the iphone is a fine piece of tech.

I have heard good things but have not had the opportunity to use one.

My cell went through through the washing machine once. My wife took the battery out and covered both with cat litter in a bowl. We left it there two days and it fired right back up.

Edit, it wasn't a smart phone and I didn't try to power it up before it sat for two days.

No, iPhone is fine, but you just get less bang for your buck. If you value form over function and want something that is basically idiot-proof.. the iPhone works just fine.

No, it's when people claim the superiority of the iPhone for no real reason other than that it has a little apple on the back. I think everyone agrees that it is a very capable, very user friendly device.

Edit: what Austin said.

Yes it is.

iPhone may be a good product but they use child/slave labor to make them in another country. Apple has told us all that they will not bring those jobs back to America because of the profit differential.

Verizon will probably push you towards a Droid Razr Maxx

Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

What are you referring to? What I said is all true. Obama and others have asked and that was the response from Apple owners.

This applies to pretty much all Apple products.

+1. Best phone I've ever owned. And being a Nexus, there's a lot less bloatware and junk on it. I decided to not even root it, as I felt like it was clean and usable enough straight from the factory.

I'll never own an iPhone unless they make one with a 4.5" screen.

I have a couple co-workers that are iphone people, but both got a samsung galaxy 2 as their work phones and they are both saying that they like the phone a bit more than the iphone. I like the bigger screen, I use FB in desktop mode and it fits the screen (no stupid crap app). I doubt anyone would be disappointed much with the iphone, I'm just not buying into the app is my only source for all media itunes crap.

I know mine too. I thought about posting something like "What does yours do that the iPhone doesn't?" And then I thought about the resulting ping pong style debate that would follow. And then I thought about boobs and went back to watching TV. Tis not worth it.

I will be in the market soon as well. Can you tell me what the advantages are of being able to modify your phone? How does that make it better?

There are numerous mods you can make to an android phone after rooting to make it run faster, use less battery, tether it for free, and change the overall appearance and the way it functions. Not to mention you can actually change the battery and upgrade the storage on most android phones. All that plus a lot bigger screen, dont know why anyone would still want an iphone but to each their own...

Yup, and it doesn't take long before the phone seems normal sized, thin enough to still fit in pockets and with gorilla glass you don't really have to worry about scratching it.

Seems huge at first, but that went away pretty quickly.
