Nike has superior design/marketing.
I saw these and didn't think of slavery, but did think of prisoners in general, which also isn't a very good theme lol
Easy to twist the thought to cause a stir/outcry. I think it's cool to do smart things accessorizing shoes to get that 'something extra' to compete with Nike, but you always have to be wary of the obvious arguments against what you're creating in the mainstream so people don't get upset.
There are bigger problems to cry about though IMO.
I think they make a solid artistic statement about stolen shoes and brand dedication.
