What a SWEET savings account Clark's set up. Probably in a low interest, low risk CD, I'd imagine.

we're saving that $ to re-sign Cassel to his extension. and with the new Brees contract, we're going to pay a kings ransom

Full stadium and parking mixed with an 8-8 team makes Clark happy.

When you add 16 million unspent dollars, it makes for an excellent year for Clark.

Wow. At least we are not the Raiders and spent your entire bankroll on still have a crappy roster.

it's better to save $ and not try. it's safe.

Yeah. Definitely not enough room to sign Bowe.

or we're saving that $ to sign that franchise TE to get us over the hump.

Yeah but at least they don't have a draft picks to waste money on.

Yeah. Definitely not enough room to sign Bowe.

We are in such a good place with salary cap space. It's hysterical.

When we sign Bowe, we'll be 2nd in the league in cap space, as his cap hit will actually drop.

Next year, we're unloading Dorsey's contract. We'll save another $10 million when (I anticipate) we extend Tyson Jackson. That'll give us $30 million for Brandon Albert and whomever else we want to bring in.

Schwing.

I'd put money on Dorsey resigning for quite a bit less.

But if we sign Bowe long term, how will Clark ever be able to afford that villa in Monte Carlo?

Priorities, people!

If Dorsey resents the scheme the Chiefs put him in then he is probably gone regardless. If i'm a DLineman, i don't want to play in a 2-gap 3-4.

Who the hell wants to play in a scheme that makes you a human punching bag when you can play in a 4-3 and get to attack?

No it doesn't.....but if we actually sign Bowe to contract....his cap number will drop (assuming they don't front load the shit out of his contract).

Duh. I'm sick of this go to criticism. Pioli has built one of THE BEST overall rosters in the league save QB, and he did it on a Dime. Why would you be upset with this? Who do you want us to sign? Should we extend Cassel just so we can spend some money?

hasn't worked for this team so far in 23 years. so until then, I can't help but to think nearly everything they do is wrong in some shape or form.
they should've picked up Bubby Brister on the cheap.

Right now, franchise tag tender amount is figured into our cap, also, all rookie contracts should be included in that number. The cap makes it easy to figure that money in.

Again. WHO exactly, are you going to throw money at to help this team outside of QB? Replace Belcher or to have resigned Carr would be about it wouldn't it? Does Belcher really need replaced?

it's not just this year. it's a pattern, and is to be expected year in a year out.
I'm being overly negative to a point, but I can't help it.

random factoid, Forbes has the Chiefs listed at a value of 1 billion, the 28th most valuable sports franchise in the world:

The fact is the previous years of Pioli's "reign" don't matter b/c it was all a part of getting us to this point. One of the youngest, most talented and cheapest rosters in all of football. What's left on the table is for this teams future. You wanna operate at or near the cap and be forced to gut the team when they're on the cusp of something better?

Rookie cap is ALWAYS alloted for-it's called the rookie pool.

I'm not necessarily referencing Pioli. I'm refercing ownership.

And I'm telling you Clark is not holding Pioli back from spending. Pioli willing chooses to be frugal. Period. If Ownership were such cheapskates, we wouldn't have operated at the cap ceiling all those years under Peterson.

eh. Agree to disagree; no biggie.I'm under the impression (right or wrong) that Clark is cheap.
